So Rooney up front alongside Kane and drop Vardy.

But I've got money on Rooney NOT starting up front. You gotta see it from my side Tel!!

    My choice? Honestly...

    Rooney behind Rashford and Vardy.

I don't know why but I think that'd be ****ing lethal.

Got to have Kane instead of Rashford but I think Rooney supporting 2 strikers would be good.

GA has missed a trick with the thread title. It reads like last of the summer wine.

    My team. My choice <laugh>

I love Kane don't get me wrong but Rashford's my boy and he ain't scared of anything, what an attitude to have at a big tournament.

That's what he played last week? Vardy and Kane were pushed out too wide. Vardy only touched the ball 8 times the whole game.

Maybe the answer is to drop Vardy. I hope not. But Rooney is undroppable.

I'm not convinced Vardy and Kane will work.

Vardy is perfect for counter attack, Kane perfect for possession football.

Vardy would be my choice, I think he could give Rooney so many options with his movement.

I love being able to debate our striker options like this, so much quality, Sturridge isn't half bad either.

Haha of course but he's still a bit rough around the edges at the moment, Kane deserves a start

I'd go for Kane over Vardy. Despite Leicester and the title and all that I'm just not sure that Vardy is international quality

If we get the players to give him the right service he could score past anybody. His movement and pace are fantastic!

I'd go for Kane over Vardy if we could play Alli in the hole.

    Drop Rooney deeper perhaps.

    ....................Hart

    Walker... Cahill.....Smalling....Rose

    ................Milner...Dier

    Sterling......Alli.......Rashford

    .................Kane

Defensively solid and the forward players aren't afraid to take on a man and put teams on the back foot.

Same as mine except you've gone for Rashford instead of Lallana - great (young minds, eh? Can't blame the old timers though, from the age thread half of them must be going senile :emoticon-0102-bigsm:bandit:<sorry>.

I actually debated over your lineup but just think Rashford barely has any experience playing in his favoured position in the Prem, pushing him into a new role in a major international tournament would just be too much too soon imo.

So young yet so wise... These OAPs could do with learning from us!

I debated over Lallana and Rashford for a while. I don't rate Lallana to be honest but he could probably do a job. I'm sure Rashford has played out wide for MU and if not, whenever he drifts wide, he eats defenders for breakfast. I like the kid and think he will go far.

No Rooney but a Sterling? Henderson doesn't deserve to play at the minute as he hasn't had enough game time (IMO)

Sterling wouldn't be a squad player for England at the Euro's - I'd rather take Townsend FFS so I wouldn't start the useless ****er!

That said - it doesn't matter to me as I can;t stand watching England and often find myself rooting for them to lose due to the complete ineptitude of the guy picking the team!
