... not quite true .. Claudio Ranieri made a brief appearance there in order to lull a load of muppets over here into complacency :) ... worked bloody well tbf <ok>
He was their manager in a campaign where they managed to lose twice to the Faroe Isles, somehow.
They did sack him after the first one though, to be fair to him.

I'm not buying into all the doom-mongering about Leicester in Europe, even if all of your good players do bugger off.
You'd better hope that Ranieri doesn't replicate that sort of form, though.

... the only solidarity I have with the Greeks is that their country remains one of my favourite holiday destinations ... but they do have their name etched into a trophy forever ... which is vey nice :)
I agree about Greece. The south coast of Crete might just be my favorite vacation spot. But nothing's forever. The sun will supernova in 10 billion years. So winning a trophy is just a blip, really.

Ooh been to Crete 3 times but never got to the south coast. Worth a visit then? The populated north is heaven on earth (apart from Malia).

Surprisingly clean, considering the bloke singing it. You probably want to give the rest of his stuff a miss if you're at work.

Andy Cole has claimed that Daniel Sturridge should be leading the line for England, rather than Harry Kane.

Something else that Andy Cole has recently claimed is that he has never been to Panama - although he certainly has a bank account there...

Just though I'd add that it was refreshing to see Kane's reaction to the Alves flying kick.
For those that haven't seen it:

The linesman looks more distressed by it than he did! <laugh>

How many players in the modern game would still be rolling about now, pretending to be on their way out?

The lino probably expected 4 or 5 Chavski players to start harranging the officials, including kicking himself in the head a few times to 'explain' what Alves had done. No wonder he was ****ting himself. Fortunately for him, Woy no longer has 5 chavs in the squad. Come to think of it, do the chavs have 5 English players?

"But Wayne has to play because his record as England’s all-time top goalscorer earns him one more chance to deliver at a major tournament." - Harry Redknapp, spectacularly failing to understand the Monte Carlo fallacy in yesterday's Standard

Slaven Biliic, how embarrassing to appear on TV with hair like that. No wonder he works for West Ham.
