Get a grip Jasper. Get the vacuum cleaner out and leave it in the hall way (plugged in). Spray two squirts of Mr Sheen in the living room/lounge and leave a duster on the side. Pile all the washing up in the sink and make sure the kettle is full. Couple of minutes before she is due home, flick the kettle on and pour the water into the sink over the dirty dishes.... ... job's a winner!
