true but long has whored himself every transfer window at LFc too. So.. I expect its his agent working over time. If everton seriously bought a 29 year old for 20mil who's frankly an average enough player most of the time there would be no point paying koeman the top 4 wages they have.

I wouldn't argue with that, I was merely countering your point about the supposed 'lost' points from the opening 8 games of last season.

He'll be rightly judged overall when he's got his own team together and has had a full season. This season gives him a huge advantage due to the lack of European football.

The DoF will be responsible for those calls though, Koeman will obviously have an input in terms of what he's looking for, but it'll be the DoF's cock on the block when it comes to the signings.

    <ok>

There were two reasons Buck to us to a 2nd place finish, Suarez and also having no European football.

you haven't got one yet though <whistle>

In general Managers should last 3/4 years and work with the players in the modern game not rip it up and throw it all away upon appointment.

England has a long way to go to catch up with the modern game.

Koeman IMO can do a lot with that is there already but he needs a couple key players to really impose his style.. not many but a couple. Im sure he's had those conversations in his hiring process.

Who knows what will happen next season lol I personally dont buy this not Klopps team malarky so whats going to happen this summer new starting 11 is it? (The same with RK tbh)
The managers get paid enough to do what they do and the players get paid enough to listen to them and play...
Im sorry for another Leicester comparison but did Ranieri buy a new Ranieri team nope...
Its all excuses for being crap really isnt it and that goes for us as well tbh..

People never listened when I said rogers lucked into a lot of thing. I had to listen to certain guys using the hashtag #luckedin.

If you look at 2013/14 seriously LFC were good... quite decent at the start and up there chasing arsenal but we ere more on for 70points than anything. First sturridge was playing then he got injured. suarez returned form band and rogers was playing one of them not both until February. the real story actually came when both were fit

We'd lost to city and Chelsea to fall off the pace at the top and then had missed results, unbeaten but mixed. We drew 2-2 with villa and drew with west brom either side of trouncing everton at home.

We'd lots of good results that year with one of them but until both get together with sterling behind for a variety of reasons we didn't go on the big run.

the following year rogers lucked into a 343 formation purely down to injuries forcing it

actually... Ranieri got kante, fuchs, okazachi and gray in... 3 of those played key roles and one was his go to sub <ok>

Ranieiri did get the most out of them. he also dumped both cups to totally focus on the league.

Klopp's issue was trying to hard to win everything... then resting too many in the league.

when klopp went to his crap kids in fa cup the league results improved... he then played kid sin league stupidly IMO at the end and cost us europe.

Fair enough although it took you two years to realise what most people already knew ie that Rodgers was a ****e manager overseeing a bang average group of players.

So he changed 3 players and bought a sub and transformed them from relegation certainties into champions...My point being he TURNED them into a Ranieri team..

I would say he did more than that given a ranieri team never won a thing in the past <whistle>

When you say "you" I assume you mean LFC?

Most of us never wanted him from minute one and as soon as it became clear he was more of a waffler than a manager we laughed at him along with everyone else.

Liverpool fans in general. There's some cringe on this very forum that I could bump!

Obviously Astro was the worst, he still thinks Rodgers is better than Klopp.
