I don't think you are far off there, only change I could see is if they can bring in a CF, but MS would be peeved to say the least if he missed out on a start!

I would rather see Josh Walker than The Prince.

I think you're right - Maybe Whichelow or Jenkins instead of The Prince. Nobody has played with each other properly in our midfield and attack so They will take time to gel together.

In my mind RJ is a bit more defensive but Matty does like going forward, definetely interesting times ahead. I look forward to seeing the starting 11 next week.

I think we need Whichelow in the center. We are all saying we are lacking attacking options and he offers that. Buaben can be a sub and the fresh legs for the last 20mins

I hate that they've changed the amount of subs to 5 from 7 and also made it a rule that you have to have at least 6 home-grown players. That's not a problen for us but it will be for the other teams. Watford need 7 subs because they develop a lot of players. I would have put some other players on if I could.

These new rules have spoiled the chance of giving younger squad players the opportunity to get the feel for a game. A backward step in my opinion!

We have a limited squad and we need to be able to introduce the younger players to the first team squad and the match day atmosphere, simple things like the warm-up, team talks just being involved and gaining that much needed experience. So when they do step up it is not so much of a culture shock for them.

I cant be sure but i think the rule regarding substitutes doesnt come into force until the 2012-13 season - i tried to find out for certain but the statement on the FL website didnt confirm either way.

Regarding line-ups, i like the idea of a diamond midfield with Whichelow at the tip - its probably the best strategy available with the players we have. I like Jenkins but him and Eustace in the middle isnt a creative enough combination. We really need an attacking midfielder on loan as Whichelow cant play 90 minutes twice a week, and the same could be said for Iwelumo who will be 33 tomorrow (happy birthday Chris!!)

The issue with the diamond formation is that we have trouble winning 50/50s in the middle of the park as it is and we end up getting over run there too, if we then spread our midfield out we will be very open and it will mean exposing our defence! So unless the defence is up for 90mins of being battered then its not a good plan. I did think it would be a great idea myself, but now i would rather see a 4-4-2 formation with Sordell playing slightly higher than Big Chris
