What the f uck are you having for Dinner thread..

I'm just trying to get through the day, had a sausage bap and chocolate brownie for breakfast with a coffee so feeling ok now. I was on Estrella yesterday wihich is my fav at the moment, had a couple of rums with it though and that's what has done the damage.

Made frozen strawberry daiquiris for mrs luv which went down well.

 

They serve Estrella at my son's cricket club. Very nice stuff.

 

Yeah it's spot on, a good standard beer. Light and refreshing but a bit of flavour with it.

 

The proper stuff in Barcelona is utterly divine but I did get stuck into it on draught when we were on rugby tour down Weymouth earlier this month.

I got a bit of taste for it.

 

I was lucky to find a bar that did Estrella when I was inPortugal this time last year, it saved me from the Portugeses ****e, worst beer in the world. Sagres is incredibly bad Super Bock is slightly better.

 

You ever tried Voll Dam, Estrella's big bad brother?

 

No will look out for it, I've tried Estrella Galicia which was nice. I have to say Alhambra is my fav followed by Mahou but both are not easy to get over here. The Spanish stuff is deffo my fav.

 

They won't sell it over here, you got to go over there to have it.

Unless Wetherspooons get hold of it in bottles maybe. It's a very, very strong dark beer.

I (unwittingly) had it as hair of the dog one new year's day in Barcelona after a particularly heavy NYE. Was pretty much pissed immediately. When I asked for it the barman simply said "ooof".

 

I had that reaction once when I ordered a double Wray & Nephew overproof rum with Crabbies.
