Very mixed reaction to his appointment on Charlton social media. I would say the majority are not happy.
under any other owner i'd say people would be happy. under these lot then any appointment is going to be met with reservations.

Never seen such a muted reaction on Charlton social media to a managerial appointment since Curbs left. Just a collective groan and shrug of the shoulders. As soon as Slade loses 4 in a row he will be gone, replaced by another Karel-like Network non entity. Meire will pipe up with "we tried it the fans way BUT..."
You won't lose many next year, don't expect to win many either though guys. He won't bring excitement but he will steady the ship for you. good luck for the coming season lads
I am happy that Russell Slade has taken over as Manager. But the old problems are the same, Meire and two shats. Without those two gone we will tread water with the chance of drowning. I have bought a Season Ticket for Welling next season. I will not go to any Charlton games,apart from the U21s and U18s.
