We are packed with big players so that's why people try and use the 'dirty' tag on occasion but I don't think Livemore and Huddlestone are dirty at all, Huddlestone is a bit clumsy in the tackle and sometimes catches players back tracking. Diame has a bit of an edge to him sometimes like all very talented players do.
It's funny how fans perceptions of players vary. Wednesday fans referred to Diame as a 'beast'. Not the kind of description for someone 'soft as anything'.
I've heard that shirts that the club give away have Allam on the back. A friend of a friend of a friend said that free shirts given out at local schools had Allam pre-printed.
When we first saw Diame play for us there were plenty of beast comments and no "soft as anything" comments. How perceptions change?
Perhaps, personally thought he had a very good game in the final. Not just the goal, he did more of the tracking back and tackling which is often a side of his game that goes missing.
Most definitely. It was arguably his best game of the season for us. Especially with under 10 minutes to go and he ran back and slid in to the clip their cross into the box away for a throw in - my heart was in my mouth then. (The sentence above is absolutely terrible but you get my meaning).
Maybe it was going to be a war cry type pun, 'Allam 2 the slaughter', but they were afraid that the S would fall off?
He started off nervy like the whole team and probably lost out on possession a couple of times early on. But then after that opening he got better with the rest of the team as we went on the attack and had space. Because he's big he can look a bit ungainly and his ball control can suffer. But if he is up for it he can have the strength to hold people off. We need consistency though, hopefully after a full preseason he can offer more of that. Wednesday supporters have hardly seen him play, so aren't aware of the ups and downs.
