    Good Morning Everyone,

As expected, since Monk signed on the dotted line, we have been linked with a whole host of players from every continent. Realistically who are our targets?

According to many Leeds fans, one of their top priorities is a new keeper!

I know Silvestri is no superman, and his distribution is sloppy, but I certainly don't think he is a bad keeper.

    Thoughts?

To me, we need two experienced and tidy centre backs, a vocal defensive midfielder (preferably a Captain) and a goalscorer who is good with his head.

Then we should sign someone that can take pens, free kicks and corners.

Did you know we scored from 3 out of 250 corners last season!

Hopefully Monk will improve the positional play and tactics too.

Morning Elland and all. Glad to see you got back ok from your visit to waccoe land. Dodgy spot, you could've wound up like Haigh, locked up in a foreign country. Corner stats no surprise as our standard of free and corner taking was simply abysmal in every match. As for new signings, looks like we'll miss out on Vardy to Arsenal which is a great pity. It's tony Yeboahs 50 birthday today. Now there was a player that could kick a ball. Maybe he'd come back just for the set pieces

Morning all... I guess first we need to see who is staying and signing a new contract. If we can get Taylor and Cook to sign a new one that is a start. Depends if Cellino is going to allow Monk a say, I remember Evans saying he had a meeting with Cellino telling him of areas for improvement and transfer targets before he was sacked.

My fear is that Cellino believes our current squad is good enough for promotion (or not far off) and they are not being coached correctly. He released Evans so surely that means Cellino felt "could have done better"...

Morning all. I'm with Ristac. Who we need will depend on who's staying. For me, 3 basic requirements are: a 20 goal a season forward, a tough tackling CB who might be our new captain, and an experienced creative midfielder who can get the best out of our kids

Cellinos going to have to dig deep in the piggy bank so. Those 20goals plus strikers don't come cheap. Isn't there a Morrisson lad in wallyland those clowns keep chirping on about. I'm sure a bag of sweets would get him at this stage

Good morning all. I saw Harry Maguire play for Sheffield United about 18 months since and thought he was a lad with terrific potential. He was signed by Hull city but I don't think he is a regular. I think he would be a lad well worth a look at.

Any more comments suggesting you want Morrison back & I'll bang on about McGready and wassizface currently at Preston!!!!

What we need is a decent scouting system that would find another Vardy or Beckford in non league or the lower leagues

Maguire does look decent every time I've seen him. He's not gonna take control of a defence though. Still quite young and learning

I know Silvestri is no superman, and his distribution is sloppy, but I certainly don't think he is a bad keeper.

Thoughts? Elland, Not too long ago we had moans about Kasper Schmeichel now everyone wants him. Our Italian isn't a bad keeper just needda good coach and young BF as back up.

My fear is that Cellino believes our current squad is good enough for promotion (or not far off) and they are not being coached correctly. He released Evans so surely that means Cellino felt "could have done better"... Ristac; Remember when Bates told Grayson he had a good enough squad because we were top of the league at Xmas. Grayson wanted a couple of players to make sure we had a way of staying near the top and we finished 7th thanks to Bates. Grayson was sacked next season. Cellino should know w e don't have enough quality except for some kids coming through.

Some Leeds fans views on Schmeichel were biased based on his parentage just as soom can see no good in Silvestri because of an anti Italian bias

Lets sit back, see what Monk has in mind for us, get behind him and the team, and lets see what happens.

I believe Wood will hit 20 goals for us next season, he will get slowly better I am sure.

His movement and positioning is a nuisance to other teams and I think his role in the team is under estimated.

We do need someone else if we are going to play 4-4-2 even if we don't we can't rely on Wood remaining injury free.

We need one or two midfield players to start chipping in, we need the next Gradel or Snodgrass who can bank in double figures.

At the end of a good season, you will probably look at your midfield and see that they have scored at least 20-25 goals between them, defenders 6-8 mainly from set pieces and if you have two strikers at least one needs to hit 20

Afternoon Ristac, think Antenucci made the point that there was never any talk of tactics. Not surprising then when you consider 3 goals out of 250 corners.

Morning Boggers, I'd say 2 x centre backs. Although time is on Coopers side, he aint ready for us yet. We also need an organised DM with good passing / keep ball qualities.

I'd like Cooper and Bamba to push for starting spots. As to DMs, are we keeping any of the players we had on loan? If not, yes a DM would be a must
