Steven Fletcher is out of contract, if anybody wants him.

    We don't.

I tend to agree that he has more often than not appeared lazy and for me he doesn't take on full backs enough to be an outstanding player and I feel he could do well at Stoke (though I would've preferred him to go somewhere else!!!). He has very often been the MotM when playing for the England youth team, so certainly could make the step up in the next year or two.
I'm really hoping that we will see at least one of the Murphy twins given an opportunity to show what they can do in yellow and green and I'd also like to see Toffolo and Morris in the squad!!!!

Edit - I see Arsenal are rumoured to be trying to sign Vardy and if he goes as well as Mahrez, I feel they could struggle, especially with the additional games in the CL.

So, did I miss anything while I was away? Any players released yet, or is it still too early?
I did see that Whittaker signed a one year extension. Shame, I thought he was one we could well do with shifting, assuming Martin and Pinto stay put.

I would guess Martin will be staying as a CB (possibly 3 CB's), therefore Whitaker is competition for Pinto. Only other conclusions that would make sense is if either Pinto or Martin are leaving. Looks like Redmond is on his way, probably to Stoke.

Pretty much agree Cromer and it's probably all down to salary. Also, some Yanks have just bought into Everton, so I expect there will be £Ms to spend on new players.

I like that all the rumours coming out are for young players. I think it's what we need and mostly what Neil is best at managing too.

It would be great to be come a destination that young players what to join. We need to get some of our young players in the team, but they need to be good enough.

Redmond is going to be a full international one day but he is no where near as good as Walcott so £10m would do for now for us and Brum.
Vardy at £11m seems good value for Arsenal.

I'll bet you he never makes the full international squad let alone play a game!

I know this won't suit some of you but I'm very happy that Naismith has committed to NCFC

A cautionary tale re our young players from MFW and I have summarised some of the salient points - "Our win in the Youth cup be attributed to, amongst other things, coaching excellence, team work and togetherness, plus a real belief in both themselves and their teammates.
With next season seeing us return to Championship level football again, a lot of hope and expectation is being pinned on some of the leading lights of our FA Youth Cup winning side, not least the Murphy twins and Harry Toffolo.
In fact that is pretty much where our hopes and expectations from that winning team begin and end, as most of the others from that side have either already left the club or are, at best, struggling to make an impression in the first-team squad.
Cameron McGeehan has just had an excellent season at Luton Town, winning their Young Player of the Season award, scoring 14 goals from 45 league and cup appearances. It seems likely that he will continue to prosper and move forward in the game and his career and, quite likely, eventually end up back at Carrow Road as a member of the opposition, quite possibly in a league match. Time will tell. But I don’t think anyone would be too surprised if that turns out to be the case."

How many of Chelski's opposition from that Youth Cup final team have gone on to play first team football in any league???
I guess I and several others are expecting too much and we just have to hope that we may one day have the next Bale, Walcott come through the Academy

Well Dave - I just hope he starts repaying some of the transfer fee next season, though 'I'm not holding my breath' on that one. I'm sure ILD (and others) will agree with me!!!
