Afternoon from a damp but warming up Bandit Country. Apparently the Flying Scotsman roared up our local line this morning, I was at the gym so missed it!
Morning all from Jersey, where there is light cloud with the sun trying to break through. Sunday means softball, and as the pitches are at one of the highest points on the island, it is likely to be windy.
Morning all, as the Meteo forecast, it is couvert. It feels warm and steamy after all the rain over the last week, and the grass is loving it . Son-in-law failed to make it home from Belgium Friday night as there was no way around Paris except for a 180km detour. Here a dozen householders has to be moved out of their homes in town when the river came over the top, but by yesterday the campsite and tennis courts in the same area had reappeared, and it was difficult to see there had been any drama.

Morning all, very warm and steamy here, so I was called into action to help a heating engineer move a very large oil tank. That will have to be my good deed for the day as it is too hot for that sort of thing.
Afternoon all from a hot and sticky (but not complaining) Bandit Country. Local councils are really rubbish (big pun coming up here). I cut the grass on Sunday and pulled loads of weeds up and cut some bushes back and Mrs W_Y had loads of dead flowers to get rid of, so I filled 3 of the garden waste bags that are collected every 2 weeks - however we are only allowed to put a max of 2 out at a time! But I thought I would put 3 out as my neighbour doesn't put any out and our local Tidy Tip is closed for refurb and the nearest official one is a 30 mile round trip..so I thought they might take the 1 additional! Stupid me, of course they didn't, they emptied 2 and left the other one. So the contents of this are now in the non-recycling bin that gets collected next week and the grass will need up in land-fill!
OK you lovely people, I'm off to bed! Sleep won't come easy in these sub-tropical temperatures! Night all Night H
