Lets not kid ourselves. It's all about money. If winning the league in such historical and dramatic circumstances doesn't bond you to your teammates to one more season (with a new Champs League adventure) then footballers have simply ceased being human.

You honestly think Leicester have a better shot at silverware next year than Arsenal? I'd make a bet with you here and now that arsenal win a trophy before Leicester (not community shield crap)

 

If Leicester kept all their players and added a few I would definitely take that bet.

 

very harsh on him. Vardy was playing non league 4 years ago. Arsenal pretty much guarantees him European football for next 3/4 years. Leicester does not. Dreamland for him (not to mention the wages - he will have earned significantly less than most Pl players during his career). He's earned this one opportunity to play for a huge club and needs to make the most of it IMO.

 

People acting like there's some kind of trade-off between winning vs money. There isn't, and in fact they go hand-in-hand.

Yes, it's all about money. Which means that bigger clubs like Arsenal will always have more available cash to sign good players. Which means you can have your cake and eat it, too.

 

Don't forget who has given him the opportunity. Without Leicester Vardy would still be in the lower leagues, and in his own words, he may have even quit the game. Now suddenly he just wants to jump ship at the absolute first sign of more cash.
