For me England will win the group comfortably and the fight is on for second place. Mind you England will then despite all the media saying how they are going to win it again, fail miserably in the knock out stage.
Disagree they are going to have work hard like all the teams in the group. It only takes one slip up to ruin the party....all teams are in with a shout of making it through to the knockout stage...
Just watching England and it hasn't been very good against 10 men, why is Milner playing in the middle of midfield, average PL player gives them nothing and I don't rate Cahill either, But Woy just has to have some of his old guard in
England were utter crap against a 10 man Portugal that didn't include Ronaldo. We have nothing to fear against them and I won't be surprised if we get at east a point from them. We can most certainly beat them.
Yeah they did struggle a bit until Rooney came on. They look a team full of individual good players that were struggling to be a team, Portugal are a dirty difficult team to play against to be fair but it showed England to be very vulnerable and very beatable under pressure and they are not as good as they think they are which will be their downfall.........
Its typical England trying to put square pegs in round holes just to fit them in, the best individuals don't always make the best team, but they still seem to try every single tournament
it's great that the matches are being shown on the big screen in Castle Square. If the weather is good I quite fancy watching it there.
Not that I am into it but why not put up a screen in Singleton park, couple of quid to get in and have Beer stalls, burgers. could get a great atmosphere, add a local band before and after the game, would be a great atmosphere, but that is so weather dependant.

None of the home nations friendlies have been on apart from England and lets not forget the Englands Womens game, surprise surprise.
Tbh the game is utter rubbish. Both sides just using it to get some minutes under their belt before next week. Just hope there's no injuries here.

The worry is if we have any injuries this will be what we would have to start with and it isn't a very good side. Valley still having your love in for Jonnie Williams then.
