Its been reported today that 'Arry wants another ex-Spur back. http://www.people.co.uk/sport/2011/...uch-offered-in-part-exchange-102039-23309043/ And before anyone says anything- yes I know its the People
Maybe we should have a sticky rumours thread, with separate articles only in exceptional circumstances or if they're particularly interesting?
The rumour's almost certainly a load of old balls, but Zamora would actually suit the way that we play a lot better than any of our current strikers. When he joined us from Brighton he was an out-and-out goal poacher with a very impressive scoring record for them. He found that he was unable to play that way effectively at the higher level, but he managed to adapt his game and become a very capable player. He holds the ball up well, battles hard and doesn't give defenders a minute's peace. I've been impressed at his determination and the way that he's managed to motivate himself and mould his game. Don't think that he's quite where we should be going, but a better player in a similar style would definitely benefit our squad. If we could sell Crouch on and bring Zamora in for less money to act as back-up and competition, then I wouldn't be totally against it.
Tut tut Spurf please pay attention to your grammar " paticularly" should read particularly. Not serious, but you never know who is watching- the grammar
If you are going to pick people up then it's always a good idea to make sure your point is correct. Spelling is the issue here not Grammar. Modern world eh! corrected for missing an 'r' by someone 12,000 miles away.
Maybe any article that doesn't use "sensational summer swoop" and "Bobby Zamora" in the same sentence, or suggest 'Arry is behind the transfer, or that the player is a replacement for Modric?
Sorry Spurf - had to lighten the load. going nuts over here - no football (of any quality to watch) and still reading about b----y no signings eg striker. just journo's - they're probably bored too- having a guess at what professional player to link with tottenham. Have a or3 on me.
Why do I get the feeling The People's readership is just sports journalists trying to pad out their transfer speculation pages on a Sunday morning?
Well spotted Ensil, he would come back to be a forward and..... oh b----r it I give up its not going to happen anyway.
