It's not the player I'm struggling with , it's the possible price .

You think he is an improvement on Amat Williams and Fernandez then, for me its the calibre of player and the price roof, we need better than this.

I'm not saying I'm not shocked by the possibility of getting him or whether he is an improvement on Fernandez.....I'm saying seeing a price of 8,000,000 £ being thrown around at one time leaves little room to be shocked about anything else ..

I see we 've been linked to left back Zachary Lazaar out of Italy , looks like Guidolin is hunting the Italian League ....hardly a surprise I guess

After our diabolical signings from France, Ayew aside, I hope we sign nobody from the French leagues this summer.

You have to play players to get a sense of diabolical or reasonable signings IMO.
Eder goes back to France and becomes Lille's 2nd highest scorer in a handful of games .
And before you say " It's only the French League " Ayew didn't score anymore goals in the French League than he did in the Premier league .

Roof, take out PSG and 2-3 sides at the most from the French top league and it's like mid table championship level. I'd rather sign players from the top 6-7 championship sides than from France.
Look at all the players Arsenal and Newcastle have signed from France, 90% have been rubbish and very expensive too.
Italy have always been sound defensively, hopefully Guido knows a gem or two.

Well if that's the case valley , Ayew should have been getting 20 goals a season in France , instead of averaging less than he got with us this season .

That is just to simplistic, some players are more suited to certain leagues and the way teams played, Eder scored nothing here ( I agree he wasn't given much chance) he scored goals for Lille, but he didn't score that many in Portugal, somethings work some don't. He didn't work for us.

Eder scored pretty well everywhere he played .
Like Swansea , I wonder how many " Appearences " were a few minutes here and there for Portugal

**** valley have you seen his goal scoring recor 14 in 108 at Parma and 1 in 18 at Inter, I want that in a season from him if he is a striker and this is my worry that Guidolin will just go back to Serie A and by average players, just because he knows them and they have played for him before, not because they are better than what we have.

Biabiany had a problem with an irregular heartbeat a few years back that stopped a sale and I don't think he has played since .
If all turned out well and he is healthy ...no probs , but it is a must for us to look further into this .
Myself , I'm still getting over the loss of Idrizaj in a personal way and don't want the guy to lplay anywhere unless his health is 100% good .
EDIT: He has had 18 Appearences since talking a season off and operation .... Still nervous .

You can bet Jenkins will be the catalyst who we are allowed to bring in with any player we get. He don't care about if the player is suited or not and that is the most important thing and not how many goals he has scored for another team......that is irrelevant to a side that plays one way that Jenkins insists we must play. Jenkins was the main cause of a recent bad season and if he carries on choosing who we bring in then i cant see any further than much the same and next time we may not be so lucky....

Jenkins will sign off on all transfers but rest assured , Guidolin will be putting all the players forward ..... and about time .

If you think Biabiany and Lazaar , 2 of the last 3 players we have been linked with , both from Italy that Guidolin has links with in the past are Jenkins's idea ......well , I won't say

The fullback looks ok, as for Biabiany no thanks. Just hope Guido ups his game then if that is the standard he is looking for then I am worried
