Arod now out which really opens up the next at Epsom - Arod could not be backed in my view because of the ground but at the same time it was hard to back against him. My punting head says Decorated Knight looks the most progressive of these but if Tulius has got his perfect conditions and Sea of Flames at a big price could not be discounted if trying to go from the front. Decorated Knight to win Decorated Knight & Tulius reversed forecast.
I'd say Graham Cunningham would come up with tid bits and quips about 1 runner if he was left to it for a whole day. "My cat pissed on some plastic wrapping this morning, which bodes well for this horse, the last time she did that, this lad won easing down on similar ground" He's always trying for an angle or to make points that aren't entirely needed.
Haven't had a bet since Aintree mate - self-excluded for 6 months as I am fecking crap on the flat. Might just stay self-excluded actually, I get just as much fun watching without having a bet. No doubt I'll get itchy fingers come October time though and will be wanting a few ante post bets for Cheltenham
You'd want to be reading that Richard Fahey column on the Sporting Life website: "There's been plenty written already about Queen Kindly who makes her debut in the British Stallion Studs EBF Novice Stakes at Catterick on Friday. She's from the first crop of Frankel and has inherited good speed from both her father and mother, who was very fast and a Group Two winner as a juvenile. We do like this filly an awful lot, she's done everything very easily at home. She's not the biggest in the world but I'm expecting her to run a big race here. Imshivalla heads down to Epsom for the Investec Wealth & Investment Handicap. I do think the handicapper has her but she'll love the ground and the track down there. That can be a big plus as horses are capable of running above themselves at Epsom." Bang-bang He has 2 in the 3.45 ............................
I find Fahey an incredibly difficult trainer to assess when it comes to predicting what way his runners will go at any point in time. Perhaps that's a good thing, but I just think you can never be to sure what you will get with one of his.
Minding will need be quite a horse to win an Oaks on this ground after winning a 1000G, this said with So Mi Dar out it does not look a great race and she may get away with it. I have gone for Halequeen each way at 20's and just hoping a couple under perform.
I'd like to see Diamonds Pour Moi win this .................... BUT ..................... why do people pronounce Mr Becket's first name as "Rafe" (like safe) and not Ralph?
WOW WOW WOW WOW That was absolutely incredible, she was completely boxed in round Tattenham Corner but she absolutely flew. A superb performance. That is some filly.
Hope that Diamonds Pour Moi is ok there, never nice seeing one pulled up like that, especially in a big one, speedy recovery hopefully.
Yes. Possibly would have been TC, she's a cracker isn't she. Can they go for the Derby tomorrow with her
Classy horse .... the race probably wasn't much but that amount of finish after a distance never before run and trouble in running.
Just off the phone to Aidan. "Listen, She's the best we ever had" is all he said before I heard Rishi bustling In and I got cut off then
