Even before the window closes I still think we'll finish well above, bookmark it if you want.

My enthusiasm hasn't wavered despite spending the wettest week ever in France. It's absolutely pissed it down.

Boro have more surgery to perform on their squad for a PL survival attempt than we do IMHO.

Our left and right sides look ok to me.
Central defence - if we could upgrade on Bruce we'd be looking strong there. Keeper is still a concern for me. Add a quality striker and. A quality central midfielder and we look good (OK a decent striker is nigh on impossible to find)

4 purchases of quality - keeper centre back centre midfield and striker. We'll need others but get those 4 place filled with good players and we'd look like a decent squad

I worry about our tactics - setting up not to concede goals is not the way to go imo. We're better off with more wins and losses than racking up 5 or 6 bore draws...I just hope Bruce recognises this (if he's still here)

People from the outside don't tend to have that informed a view of other clubs anyway, even more so if they have been outside of their division. This is just the boring period of speculation before things actually get done.

Probably were saying the same about Austin at QPR, Deeney at Watford, and Wilson at Bournemouth.

They've certainly started early though. I think their worry is more the inexperience of the manager.

Can see Sunderland, Boro, Palace, Burnley, us, and West Brom all struggling to keep our heads above water.

They're a pretty balanced and sensible lot in Stoke, except my ex-wife she was a ****ing nutter.

I love that their board is called the oatcake, breakfast of champions, a full English smothered in cheese and wrapped in a pancake. It' the breakfast burrito of the midlands.

A club apparently already getting ready for next season and who would bet against them going up?

I think Gray really doesn't look a convincing footballer.

It will be even tougher league next season but they will have a good chance.

But what is it about him that just makes him sound boring. You just want the interview to end asap.

Don't you feel for the local sports presenters. I for one hope he never makes it to the PL do I don't have to hear his boring interviews.
