They say that Westwood's release clause has been quoted in the Independent as £2.5m.
One idiot said that the best they could hope for is a bidding war and maybe get £6m. I don't think he understands that any bidding war would be over wages not transfer fee.

Shouldn't the thread title be something like 'Independent claim Westwood has a £2.5m release clause but fan on owlstalk thinks they should hold out for £6m'

Westwood had a brilliant game last Saturday, but I just don't think we need him.

Jak's our No1 and I'm sure Duciak will challenge him.

I know we've been mentioned with him... how many keepers do we need..!!!!!?... I'm guessing Kuciak may well be on his way if we manage to sign the lad Mannion ....

I think there are trade description issues if we sign a keeper and then let them go.

Owlstalk. It was mentioned on there on Sunday that the reason they were so bobbins on Saturday was that the sheer ferocity of their fans had frightened the players into a trance like state who were in awe of them.

It's not so bad. They may have lost the game, but their inflatables will stay loyal...and full. <ok>

Yeah read that and arfed at it. They all reckoned they would take the roof off Wembley and to be fair they made a racket.
Perhaps next time their larkers could play with earmuffs on?

Mannion is 17, he won't be in first team reckoning.

I'm not so sure Deadwood had a such good game against us. He had a lucky game especially when Hermandez's shot clipped the top of his shoulder and bounced clear. One good stop when he was quick off his line to stop Dave but he was nowhere near Diame's shot which hit the post and he wasn't in the same post code as the goal.
To me he's nothing better then we already have.
