The problem is that he will have to win everything at home AND do well in Europe

Not just do well in Europe, win it. The Parkhead faithful deem any draw a failure, never mind a loss - and they view failure as a personal affront.

They have a deep-seated inferiority complex.

TBH the league is so uncompetitive in a way they need to test themselves more in Europe.

It's why they like Rangers coming up..

As much as Mark Warburton is a good guy, does signing 2 players from Accrington show enough ambition for a title challenge?

Players from Accrington would be very ambitious for Rangers!

I think they're after Joey Barton as well. Probably a good move for them - a thug like him fits perfectly into their fans' ethos.

Rodgers will be fine at Celtic. After all, he and his team will be "world class" :emoticon-0118-yawn:

The test will be getting them to do well in Europe which is Celtic's main downfall.....

Well if he doesn't win the league Rodgers won't last long anyway!

    That is a given...

Which - that he won't win the league or that he'll be sacked?

I guess that both Rodgers and Warburton still have the task ahead of creating their own squads. As they stand at the moment, I'd be putting money on Celtic to win as they have a far better squad - but I guess rangers will be investing before the start of the season, with money that shouldn't even have but somehow retained after being liquidated.

Well if he doesn't win the league (even with Rangers coming up) there will be big pressure!

I sort of meant the expectation will be the title at least too.

I agree - his problem was his name - he was never going to be as good for us as the first one. Competent player at the Championship level - couldn't understand why he could not get a place in another side at that level.
