What is it with the Labour party and leaders? Since John Smith we've had Blair, Brown, Ed and Jezza, each worse than the last. Ed made the voting rules which got Corbyn elected. :emoticon-0119-puke:

Is there anything wrong being left leaning?

I'm a libertarian, believe more in local government and a republic. Don't think I'm either left or right.

Did you watch it? Highly worrying if you are a Labour supporter. Hilarious for those of us who are not <cheers>

You can also be right wing and libertarian. There are plenty of examples in British politics. True Conservatives believe that the State should play the smallest role possible in people's day to day lives, and as long as people are abiding by the law they should be left to get on with it.

Unfortunately the term "left wing" has come to be associated with illegal wars, financial profligacy and mass, uncontrolled immigration.

No, that's Blair & Brown, who weren't left wingers, anyway immigration has rocketed under the Conservatives. In today's global economy left wing doctrines are impossible, especially under EU regulations, which more or less enshrines Thatcherism in the constitution.

What has the term "right wing" come to be associated with?

I think you think we care passionately about this as it stands - but I don't. I'm not a Corbyn fan and won't vote for him. But the unfortunate incident of Khan becoming London mayor shows the predicted wipe out date might be a tad premature.

As Wily 'Arold said, a week's a long time in politics. There are parallels between Charlton and Labour- I want them both to bomb quickly so that effective leadership can be brought in. Unfortunately the Corbynistas who voted him in don't seem very interested in having a Labour government. If they get their way and keep Corbyn in place, yes you're correct about wipe-out, it will be worse than 1983. And he keeps saying "I'm going nowhere"<cry>.

I'm only backing the "OUT" campaign as I feel that the EU is largely undemocratic and has absolutely no accountability to the people. We cannot vote them out or force through change. Hell, off the top of my head I cannot even name the three presidents of the EU. I didn't vote for any of them to represent me on the worlds stage, therefore OUT.

London will always vote Labour because of the demographics - thats a bit like Jose Mourinho knocking one out after beating Accrington Stanley <laugh>

What was so hilarious about that fly-on-the-wall Jezza documentary was seeing the scruffy old bastard going around the country to huge adulation.

From the "activists" who voted for him as leader <laugh>

The ordinary public can't stand him <laugh><laugh>
