Yes, but a conventional diamond has an attacking focal point, 2 tucked in wide midfielders and a defensive point. So are you saying Diame at the head of a diamond and Jake at the bottom? That's not centre midfield then. And where's this left winger playing that you're after? Or are you using a really unconventional diamond with wingers and therefore nobody actually in the middle of the pitch?

We'd get overran with a two man midfield of Livermore and diame , if the diame of the championship season turns up.
Like huddlestone been far too languid and laid back in his performances this season, I think we need two with the same ability on the ball as diame and huddlestone but with a far greater work ethic

He's hardly going to spunk money on a "proper" second striker, and then park that striker on the bench in favour of Diame.

There's absolutely zero backtrack whatsoever. Buying another striker and playing 2 strikers together for the first 10 games from the start of the season are not the same thing. FACT.

To highlight the word that you seem to have missed. You asked where you said Bruce wouldn't buy a second proper striker, and I showed you where. You're now trying to twist it to mean something else entirely.

I think you're misunderstanding my use of proper then. Proper meaning a striker of first XI calibre.
Yes, that's what I think we'll play. And yes, I did misunderstand that because that's not what PROPER means. Someone should tell Ulloa at Lester that he's not a PROPER striker.
I'm not sure how my meaning could be misunderstood, particularly since I was discussing it in the context of replacing Diame in the starting XI.. but there you go.
I meant proper in the context of our squad, which is what we were discussing, not about the individual's ability as a player. Proper because Diame is not a proper striker but is currently in that role. No need to be a prat.
