It looks just fine. It's the elite league. Bottom of the PL pisses on top of the Championship in terms of profile, achievement and coverage. Ask the people who run things in Leeds, Newcastle and Sheffield where they would prefer to be!
Delighted to be back in it, the coverage is fantastic and it's a great boost for the City but my patience with the owners has worn so thin that if they're still here at the start of the season I'll simply be tuning out of football completely until they leave. I've got no interest in getting emotionally involved in another season with them casting a shadow over everything.
Probably better if we were losing in the third division having no coverage in the papers or on the tv, going on holiday with your city shirt on and people walking by saying I wonder what team that is, going to the pub and talking about City with nobody else interested, seeing all those other Yorkshire clubs like Leeds and Sheffield Wednesday playing in the championship and wishing we could support a team playing as high up as them. Cause its great to playing in the premiership feeling proud of my City its just this ownership thing we need sorting out and of cause it would be nice to win a few games but that's the challenge ahead, not easy I know but come on we have to have some ambition. Until this club is united again and an happy place to watch football then negativity will be around but for me at this moment in time I am over the moon we have gone up but just hope all the outside football stuff gets sorted very quickly for us all because it does bring everyone down. UTT
Really looking forward to next season.... If the Allams go - happy times, i'll be back at the KCOM, or whatever it may be then roaring us on..... If the Allams stay - a lot of pubs will be showing every game live....so my money will go to a local publican.....
Remember our first foray into the Premiership... when Arsenal and Spurs didn't know what the **** hit them, until they sussed us out of course... they were great days and even better great days out... we need to do that again, get 25/28 points on the boards by Christmas, then we can perhaps really enjoy it again.
Well said, you missed out some of our moaning home supporters, and remind me again why am I looking forward to moving back to Hull next year and starting a new business.
The winning of promotion feels for the best part & takes some used to , returning to a steady head. There's always a sense of anticipation in that the preparation of the club in the off season. the player additions, the keeping up with the Jones's approach to repairs to the stadium. The media leaks of shirts, The print media buildup. etc. The trepidation part stems from our club's media poor Advertising and Marketing of the Club . Flip side - Those at the club, surely NOW, know what Is required. I'd quite like to think , there will be a quiet sense of getting on with business in the Summer. No false fanfares and trumpets. Spend well and buy wisely to strengthen the squad , and play attacking football from the Off. Added to the above, with a good performance in the P.L and that should attract New ownership & with that Investment. & Growth.
