I mean, is he really worth the salt we payed for him? I have not been that impressed with him to be honest. I know it is early days but I can't see why he is raved about. Does anyone agree?
He's good, offers something different on the wing, can take free kicks, can play left wing and he's English. So yeah he is worth it IMO.
not been impressed so far in pre-season, but that's all it is - pre-season. Ask in a couple of months.
I remember Smalling getting slagged off on 606 in pre-season so as said earlier it's too early to say.
I have always considered him a flat track bully(which is important enough in itself I suppose), hopefully he proves me wrong.Though to judge him now after a couple of pre-season friendlies is ridiculous.
I've rated Ashley Young since his Watford days. He is good at freekicks and corners which is something we have lacked for some time.
Smalling gave away a penalty on his debut in America last season, had a nightmare in the other games. Now look at him. I would be comfortable with him replacing Ferdinand in the starting XI tomorrow he's that good. Like someone else said, wait until the end of the season to decide.
I rate Ashley young. Good at delivering from set pieces, fantastic crosser and passer. He's a different player to nani Valencia or park so the midfield is even more varied. Plus he can play both wings and behind the strikers. Good buy. I rekon he will top the assists table come may next year.
It seems as if Ashley Young just hasnt made the step up to playing with a higher quality team yet. He gets in a good positions but he seems to be a pass or two behind the rest of the team. Once he adapts to playing at a higher level i think he'll be on par with the rest of the squad.
He is quick, can cross, dribble, take free kicks and corners. Can interchange with Nani on the right. What more do you want from a winger?
Well duh....what's worse than dying through submersion in and inhalation of water.......oh sorry my bad.
