Very keen to see Hernandez back in the PL. Was one of the reasons I was so upset with relegation, because I thought his second season would be so much better. The key point is how few penalties have padded his stats, and now how well he's taking his shots from distance. His composure is so much better than 14/15 when he would be put through on goal but then fluff the chance (Leicester comes to mind). I think we need to sign two strikers - a genuine class striker to play alongside him, and then a young hungry striker as depth off the bench. No foreign rubbish like Sagbo or Proschwitz.
That would be brilliant as I think I'm right in saying we've never had a player score double figures in the top flight have we? It'll be interesting to see if Adama Diomandé repeats the pattern and comes back next season more adapted to English football and on fire......
Definitely not. Aussie strikers are rubbish. Aussie midfielders on the other hand are fantastic - Rogic or Mooy would be brilliant.
This probably won't go down well but surely Forestieri would be in our price range, you would think he could make a step up too to the Prem? Him and Hernandez would make a lovely South American pair
Yes, if Diame goes to Palace Hernandez will need someone else who speaks Spanish seeing as he has made little progress with English apparently. I think Aguero also speaks fluent Spanish.
There was a lot of pressure on him, over the season itself I thought he did enough, we definitely need a pest like player like him
I think the nearest we have to somebody with a lot of attitude is Snodgrass, we could do with one or two more! This might be before your time but I could see Forestieri doing a Paul Dickov sort of role for us, somebody who people thought wasn't up to the Prem but was a real pest and nuisance to other teams
Agree Abel needs support up front, but SB seems to only like one/none striker on the pitch at any given time.
This is going to be the issue. In The PL we almost always play a midfield 5. 3-5-2 doesn't suit the likes of Snodgrass and makes us choose between Elmo and Moses on the right. 4-5-1 means Hernandez is on his own up top and it'd be just like all those game where Aluko, Ramirez, Ince and even Brady played on their own up front.
