Mate, would you want any of them at your club? I said the likes of Reus or Martial or Suarez Those above are players that have little choice. Ofcourse money plays a part, I won't deny that, but it's only part of it. The reason a top player at his peak (given the choice) might come to United or Liverpool despite not being in the CL is because they will weigh up a) wages but also b) the stature of the club c) the manager d) the likelihood of the club going to win trophies e) the likelihood of the club gaining CL football f) the impact on international career among other things.
Given Martinez left Atletico to go to China is guess not my point was, money talks. The CL obviously helps but even taking away Liverpool and United who have big pull, look at West Ham. Fighting for players who are currently in CL like Lacazette because they can offer twice as much as foreign clubs in the CL. Upper mid table Prem clubs will still attract big players who may have offers to play CL football for other teams in France, Turkey etc because we can give them more money. Nd 90% of players will take the money over a few seasons of CL football.
Ahhhh yeh I'd agree there. I was comparing the more well known clubs with CL footy. I think many foreign clubs in other leagues will suffer as a result.
What do you call a certain ManU not 606 poster who has an ear for music and a hair lip ? Treble cleft ... Anyone see a coat around ?
