good count! that's the reason Fergie had parked the bus to airport - come-on you got to be kidding.. Don't you count the number of first team players on each side today?
So you're saying you'd rather watch Barca vs Real than.. Liverpool vs Everton or Newcastle vs Sunderland? Don't be ****ing silly. Why? Because the english derbies are much more entertaining to watch because the play is exciting and not boring.
Yup, looks dangerous going foward, and he's winning the ball back in our penalty area. We look great defensively too.
arite - for a pre-season game first half is a good watch.. but your mutv commentator he's a piece of work - calling Kobe a netball player..
Id watch the tyne wear derby first for obvious reasons but el classico is a definite second and we were spoiled last year by their amount and obvious intensity through a very genuine rivallry. I think you get too caught up in the media driven rhetoric about some derbies. Manchester/ merseyside / tyne-wear / London derbies are usually alot more dull than the massive sky build up would have you believe.
Mourinho has had his team tarnish the last couple of El Classico's though Four to look forward to this year at least.
That goal from Thiago was amazing. Would love to know a possession stat, Man Utd getting completely dominated and only getting the odd counter-attack. Would of expected Fergusen to at least try attack against a team with no where near as match fit as Man Utd.
I feel very happy. Nani was amazing and has proven why he should always start as he is our best winger easily. Anderson has been class this tour but my prediction was voided soon as the team sheets came out. I never knew Barca would make so many changes. It was Utd vs Barca b plus few first team players.
Didn't 6 of their starting lineup start the Champions League final? How many of United's starting lineup started in that game?
What do you mean? We had 3 but that does not mean a thing. Nani is easily better than Valencia so we improved by playing him today. Hernandez can't do anything when we don't have the ball and I believe Welbeck has more talent due to a better overall game, so we improved there. Anderson who started is a much better option now, compared to Giggs in the midfield. That team would have probably done better than the team which was sent out against Barca in may. Anderson is looking very bright and with Carrick they will shine together. After watching the 23-year-old put in a stylish shift during Wednesday’s 4-0 demolition of the Major League All Stars team in New York, Ferguson said: 'The boy is a fantastic talent. We expect him to be a key player this season. 'He has a good football knowledge. He understands the game very well. He has made tremendous improvement and he is going to get a lot better. 'He scored four goals for us last season and if he gets eight or nine next season it would a huge asset because the football side is very good indeed.' I am very happy, it seems finally Anderson will get his chance. Next season it should be Anderson and someone else. Anderson scored 4 in 30 apps last season, so if he is to get 8 goals he will need to play plus 40. It is clear he will be our main midfielder next season. This is great news.
Barce had 6, plus 2 that came off the bench in the final, so your comment about playing the B-team was just a poor attempt to cover up your typical doom and gloom prediction, yes they brought on some youngsters, but it's not like United were at full strength by the end neither with the likes of Jones, Cleverley and Diouf on the field and Owen should of made it 3-1.
