As this is the BBC we're talking about, the shirt he wears at club level boosts his performance by at least 2.
It's still weeks away from the tournament but the media are already doing "Alli needs to keep his cool" into the ground. They don't do it with other players. No one's warning about the consequences of Vardy diving or Wilshere not bringing enough clean piss with him.
Quick competition. Who will Roy leave out, point for each. Remember this is not who we would leave out. Drinkwater Barkley
We're taking/leaving players and ultimately changing the team (again) to accommodate certain players who are unfit, injured, out of form, not as good as they were, or out of position. When will we ever learn.
Reus didn't make the cut for the Germans! Bloody hell that's a massive shock. Top, top player, would walk into the England squad (and pretty much every other).
Injury related, apparently. They've got the good sense to leave out crocked players, even those of his calibre.
Leading the line for England this summer. This is a great read about the rise of Harry - http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/36321045 He's one of our own!
Still taking Schweinsteiger though. Can't remember the last time he was 100% fit. Oh and it's Reus' birthday today. Whoops.
As you might expect I'm hoping that Drinky will go ... apart from Dier he is the only defensively capable midfield option ... and Cahill is apparently having injections in his hip ... so Dier may be called upon as a centre back ... So any two from: Sturridge - won't see the tournament out without succumbing to injury Barkley - sadly out of form and Captain fantasic will have the "10" role Henderson - just back from injury and well off pace - as is Wilshire but Woy loves "the liddle wogue" ...
Goalkeepers Joe Hart, Fraser Forster, Tom Heaton Defenders Gary Cahill, Chris Smalling, John Stones, Kyle Walker, Ryan Bertrand, Danny Rose, Nathaniel Clyne Midfielders Dele Alli, Ross Barkley, Eric Dier, Jordan Henderson, Adam Lallana, James Milner, Raheem Sterling, Jack Wilshere Strikers Wayne Rooney, Harry Kane, Jamie Vardy, Daniel Sturridge, Marcus Rashford Looking at the squad, it reminds me of that other time English hopes went off towards France - and this is what happened... please log in to view this image
... what are the odds on one of the sicknotes breaking down during training or in the Portugal game? ...
What're the odds the media remind Hodgson that he said he wouldn't take any players that weren't match fit - then he promptly takes several players who are clearly some way short of match fitness?
So you are dropping Drinkwater and Townsend. I'd have thought Townsend is a plan B sort of player that he would take.
He's quoted the ACTUAL squad buddy ... Woy in his wisdom is taking 3 sicknotes and the woefully out of form Woss Barkley ... deja-vu....
You can still swap players over until the games kick off, so Wilshere or Henderson breaking down would be a good thing.
