You said you didn't watch the footage. It violently dragged him through shallow water and no one knew what it would do next. I would hope the parents are getting sued for compensation.
I've not really read much into it but I did see a quote from a gorilla expert somewhere who said the behaviour the gorilla showed wasn't gentle or protective and was in fact the signs of agitation which meant it was a serious threat to the kid. Like I said the zoo wouldn't have wanted to shoot the gorilla any more than you would and the fact they stayed their hand for 10 minutes is telling that it was a last resort and there was no other safe option. At the end of the day that innocent little boys life is the priority. Yes questions need to be asked how a small child was able to get through the fence and fall down a 15' hole into the hands of a gorilla, but I think whoever made the decision and whoever pulled the trigger can be spared from ire.
I've done nothing. I was chatting to him recently about a bet I had with him and have heard nothing since, so I'm guessing he owes me money for not going through with the dare of putting on a gorilla suit at the zoo.
I haven't seen the footage, and don't want to, but is it possible that the gorilla was agitated by the crowd and cameras?
I guess I should know, but how can you tell if someone has blocked you? ****Sits waiting for the 'who said that' type replies.
I responded to about half a dozen of his posts before someone else mentioned me and he replied to them saying he had me on block.
There was a guy on the City Mad forum who announced he was quitting to join the Leeds forum. And he did.
My wife couldn't stand him when they were both on the Hull City Mad forum and got stuck into him on several occasions. When they moved here he blocked her.
He seems to have a few catchphrases that he likes to repeat ad nauseum. "20 goal a season strikers" "Not a striker's arsehole" "The Allam's beancounters" "No one wants to sign for Hull" etc. Did my head in.
Roo was one of the thinnest skinned ****ers on here. He said he didn't want to block me because apparently me changing my avatar regularly was hilarious to him. Which is a bit weird and sad really. His idea of what a striker is was ****ing hilarious. He has no idea.
Sydney - non of us are without our foibles. Let it go, he's a City supporter with his opinions, just like you & me. Both of us could be criticized for ours. edit: At least someone saw some merit in your posts Quill. FFS gents.
When I joined the Hull City Mad forum in 2010 he was one of the first to welcome me and it turned out he was at the same Hull High School as myself for 5 years(I year behind). We got on quite well. He recently won the Sunderland prediction league in a canter but on there intimated that he had been unfairly treated when leading on ours when one of his weekly score predictions had not been posted. He postulated that it could have been deliberate! We both went to City's first game at BP in 1946 so he is in his 70th year of supporting the the club. Also we both follow the fortunes of Sunderland -me since childhood and him presumably when he worked there for a while in the 60's I believe.
Im not holding onto anything to let it go, just commenting on someone who decided to block me with no reason. If I was wound up by it I would have said something before now.
You just did say something. "He blocked me". " "Did my head in". Why comment at all if it doesn't bother you ? Strange.
