Yeah or a showing of red cards or singsong of City Till I Die .. .. That would be the mentality of the minority!
Does anyone give a **** about a civic reception. Does anyone even really give a **** that we got promoted?
Agreed.. I for one don't give a toss about a civic reception. Have always been 50/50 about promotion, back to the feeling of avoiding relegation for 6 months...
Nothing wrong with expressing your undying love of the team with a song which has been sung for years. Maybe you think there is?
Yeah they are they way the bang on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on about it. Changing of a name and a history of lower league unsuccess is not worth all the constant droning.. just my opinion.
So they had a good reason not to, but even if they hadn't had a good reason, they wouldn't have, probably? Frigging hell. Give it a rest will you. Soon you'll have new new owners to hate. An open day's a splendid idea. One that involves the bloody players who actually won promotion for us, not the ones not good enough to be internationals. Personally I think civic receptions, and open top buses should be for winning something. Winning an actual thing. Like a league, or a cup. Not beating the 6th placed team for the final promotion spot.
