Loved it when BT Sports honed in on those weeping, whinging Scousers. 20,000 in the stadium and another 10,000 in Basel town square, nicking wheel hub cabs. Alberto Moreno makes Morgan Fox look decent.
Love Liverpool great city after London my no1 place always enjoy trips up there back there in a fortnight for the boxing cant wait
Great for a night out on the piss. I went to Cream once when I was up there. I was properly off my tits when I met Tony Warner (was playing for Liverpool at the time). Anyway... I was absolutely adamant he was David James and lying to me about who he was. This In spite of him telling me repeatedly that he werent . He went and got a club photographer to take a snap of the pair of us, paid for it and gave it to my mate so that when sober I could see I never met David James . Lovely fella... ****ing MASSIVE hands Must get my mate to see if he can dig that pic out...!!
I can see Luton doing well next season, I loved that pair at Charlton http://www.dunstabletoday.co.uk/spo...will-be-a-huge-success-with-hatters-1-7394522
I see from twitter that Welling have made 6 close season signings so far. Maybe they've got a manager and Head Scout?
Fantastic achievement by Wimbledon and their superb fans. Hopefully they'll batter MKDons next season. And probably us as well. Their fans are an inspiration to the likes of us, and Blackpool fans as well, who are starting to think the same way. IMO their promotion equals Leicester's triumph as Story of the Season.
I watched all three play off finals - maybe a coincidence that each of the teams with the biggest support on the day ended up losing? The standard of football in the Plymouth v Dons game was awful, a taster of the 46 we have to look forward to next season. Well done the Dons however
The tall black striker for Wimbledon (Elliott?) made Makienok look like Ibrahimovic. Honestly one of the most inept players I have ever seen.
I disagree Don. At least Tom Elliott looked interested andbput himself about a bit. I can just about forgive a player with limited ability if he tries his heart out. I can not stomach a player with limited ability that is matched by a complete lack of effort...!! For me Cackienok falls in that category...!! Absolutely wretched footballer in every sense...!!
I regret that post! I was still flabbergasted that a professional footballer could be that bad. I assume the network scouts will leave me in that state of disbelief several times over the coming months.
In the Barnsley v Millwall play off it was possible to look at both teams and see a few players who had a bit of quality- the type you wouldn't mind seeing in our shirt. Beevers is not a bad player for instance, and Adam Hammill could definitely do a job for us. Plymouth v Dons was like watching 22 hod carriers chasing the same bar of slippery soap. In fact, many of their players seem to have spent last summer at the Simon Makienok Skills Academy, so bad was their technical ability. Welcome to League One football again
