The winning team pics the songs played, I've no idea who put the final list together, though they did ask fans for their opinions online.

The club asked the fans on social media, the choices were the Elvis and Williams versions of Falling in Love, the two Housemartins songs (Happy Hour and Caravan of Love) and Eye of the Tiger.

Was there an option for 'none' or 'quietly in the background rather than drowning things out'?

No. Forced celebrations at deafening volumes drowning out any chance of spontaneity are the order of the day at Wembley finals.

Maybe, I can't remember. There was probably an 'Other' option.

I should have preferred something a little more modern such as the Sleaford Mods 'Jolly ****er' had I been asked.

You'll probably be able to find a torrent download of it somewhere.

When you're at the game, you don't really notice what songs are being played.

When I came in on Sat, they were playing 'Hi Ho Sheffield Wednesday' like we were at Hullsborough.

Yeah, I never heard any of the pre match songs or the half time ones, was too busy in the concourse. Only heard the post match tunes.

****ing hell, you're joking Lambo...pissed me off big style at the end. Didn't allow for any fan inspired celebration at all....just a load of choreographed cack played at a million decibles. Next time I vote for John Cage's 4'33

I would like something by Janis Joplin but you can't have everything. Or Otis Redding.

I remember when we went up in 2005 and the celebrations at the end against Swindon were drowned out by some buffoon spinning 'Is this the way to Amarillo?'

    GTF silly ****s
