Hull are indeed a tinpot club, always were, but they're a tinpot club with a cartload of money, and that's football as it is today. When I was growing up you'd see Brucie trudging off the field at full time after being given a roasting by Hirst. You wouldn't have kennelled a dog at Boothferry park, and if anyone had told me then that the likes of Hull would beat us in a Wembley final I'd have laughed at them. But our board made an horrendous mess of everything, and it took the taxman to finally get them out after a disastrous decade. In the end if Chansiri wants promotion he'll have to pay for it.

oh dear - phone the Samaritans

Glad you got the chance to see City at Wembley. Even young fans may never get the chance again for some time.
Hopefully not 104 years as before our first one.

They did hang round for a while at the end- dunno why. Perhaps they were drinking it all in as they probably won't get there again for a long time.
By the time City had got the Cup (YES THAT'S RIGHT! I SAID WHEN CITY GOT THE CUP AT WEMBLEY!) and finished cavorting with it, the Sheffield end was empty whereas our was still rammo.
Have to say that when I ingressed and came through the vomitory I had a queasy flashback to BP in the 70s when we used to play SAFC or MUFC, and you got into Bunkers and looked away to your right...thousands upon thousands of the ****s all the way down the East side of the ground. The Sheffield end was rammed and they all seemed to be in position and singing loudly while I assumed all ours were still in concourse......

Exactly that PS - why would they know that our club had been on an upward trajectory this last 15 years? It's not like we took the biggest crowd to their place when we had their trousers down in 2004, on our way to back-to-back promotions ....... they're living in the past AND blinkered too.

Dunno about anyone else, but I still think it's funny we're in the PL.

    Us. Little old Ull City.

I've never felt entitled to anything in regards to football, or the Mighty Tigers, we go up, we go down, and even though I've seen a steady improvement in the past 40 odd years, with the inevitable downs, but with the glorious ups, I can't fathom how some fans of other clubs get this big club mentality, or the we're too big to get relegated bollocks.

One thing about the Mags, or at least the ones I know, they just sighed, and said "oh well" to their relegation. A completely different response which would have been funnier, woulda come from the Mackems.

I hate the spouting of entitlement of some clubs and their fans.

Bottom line is, little old us, in the PL. Again.

    Hah.

To be fair, he did eat humble pie in his post match interview with SB and alluded to it, and SB spoke about it too in a polite but 'don't talk like a ****' way.

Hull City controlled the game for most of the time. Worthy winners and a goal good enough to grace any Final. Big Mo Diame has written his name into Hull City folklore just like Deano back in 2008.

Great weekend away and it all ended up as the Tiger nation wanted it to.

Thought it was funny that they kept playing Housemartins songs at the end. Most people think they're Hull, but Heatons from Sheffield - a fact he's always more than happy to point out!
