It is true he united some tribes for a short while, yet he was largely despised by the remainder of Scandinavians (including his own son) and would often quell uprisings by paying tribute to his enemies, or by violent subjugation of others. He was a largely ineffectual king and in no way can be held up against the greatness of Sweyn Forkbeard and Cnut the Great, who also struggled to bring peace to the Norse tribes.
It is a difficult thing to do, which leads me back to my point that it is strange that a Swedish company would name a product after a Danish King.
Probably because Swedish author Frans G. Bengtsson did such a good job of romanticising Bluetooth's achievements.
