Not in my eyes, no. Booted off suggests some kind of injustice, rather than it being fully warranted.
Looking forward to the Amazon series later in the year with Clarkson and the rest, can't bring myself to watch Chris Evans really can't stand the fella, at least Clarkson is watchable even if dislikeable as a person, Evans makes me want to smash the TV
The viewing figures are already down 1m for the first episode, they're likely to be down another million by next week, it's getting universally slated.
I just watched it and to be honest I quite liked it. I was probably as amused as I was by the old cast. I've just switched to Windows 10 and it's different and a bit annoying for that, as it's not as familiar, but some bits are better, some feel worse but it just about does the same job. I a couple of months I'll not notice. I think the new TG may be the same.
I can't stand Evans anymore on Radio 2 let alone Bottom Gear... he's that far up his own arse and how important he is, he believes his own hype.
Just been on Numptybook and apparently James May is being quoted saying that he 'loves the new Top Gear'! I can't bring myself to even watch it
I watched it and its exactly the same but with different presenters. Evans comes across as a bit shouty, The chemistry between LeBlanc and him is just building. But for the first episode, it wasnt half bad. instead of signing up to amazon prime, I will just watch it on one of my websites: https://www.solarmovie.ph/tv/
Watched on iplayer this morning. Skipped through it after 10 minutes. Cars dont do anything for me TG was all about the chemistry between the 3. It might get better for some but im out.
The viewing figures this week were 2.8m, down from 4.3m last week and down from the 5.5m Clarkson was achieving. The first episode had 388k viewers in the US, despite the addition of Matt LeBlanc, the first episode of the last series had 530k viewers. Though the first episode has now been viewed by 8.15m people, after a large number watched it on iPlayer during the week.
I read today that fans want Jenson Button of all people to present it, he's not exactly bursting with personality
It wasn't fully warranted at all, that **** was Irish and deserved everything he got. The BBC liberal lefty higher uppers couldn't stand Clarkson and were sitting with their finger twitching on the trigger just waiting for any opportunity to arise.
Arf. But go on, I'll humour you.... Any opportunity? Really? He could have - and should have - been sacked about 5 times before the Bog-trotter "deserved everything he got".
