Before anyone gets too excited, or disappointed, about the tables I have spotted an error in the calculation of winning naps. I spotted it when I noticed my level stake profit was way out. On a quick investigation it affects all winning naps. The points are OK but the Level Stakes Profit (and therefore the Points + Level Stakes) should be wrong for all winning naps. At present I have no idea what the problem is because on re-processing each day's, some are now right and some are wrong. I will sort it asap. Apologies, this is embarrassing.

Ron I think my total should be 465 as you have underscored me today. I think that makes me second yet again as I was behind barney in the newmarket comp. Well done woolcombe, a great total on all boards. Thanks for running ron, gave an extra interest to a really good meeting.
You are probably right Bluesky. Your points for Hoof It certainly weren't included. There have been some very strange results coming out. I mean, why just Hoof It? And why yours and two others wrong when others were correct for the same horse. It's a mystery and I will have to give the system a thorough check before the next meeting. For once I am at a loss but I'm sure I'll crack it next time I have a look. There will be a few other wrong calculations but I won't be looking at it again for a few days. With my score being wrong before today, then my points for Hoof It scoring correctly, I'm just thankful I'm not getting it in the neck like SA did when he made a few mistakes.

Well done to Woolcombe and everyone who took part. A big thanks to Ron for organising. It is not as easy as it looks.
Ok. Couldn't resist it. Having had a good night's sleep, been outside in the sun doing the horses and had a nice cuppa, I just had to have another look at what seemed unexplainable. The problem was this, very briefly. The system has a control file which determines which horses I import into the competition and is also used to decide which results to calculate. In order to recalculate a previous day I have to change the controlling date. Somewhere a long the line I must have got my knickers in a twist because all the calculations (when done) are correct. Answer. I have simplified the system to always calculate results from scratch (ie from Day 1 of the competition). I therefore had to hold a Stewards' Enquiry. As a result I now have what I believe to be the correct points for everyone (unless, of course, I entered the wrong selection). The bad news is for WF. Unfortunately, in the Level Stakes Section of the competition WF has been relegate from first place. The competition organiser has been banned from running competitions for 5 days. The good news for WF is that in both the Level Stakes plus Points competition and the Points competition, the incompetence of the competition organiser did not affect the winner and the first place remains unaltered. Although it is a pity to discover that WF did not scoop all 3 competitions (as well as the Betting competition), it would not be fair to not announce the rightful winner of the Level Stakes competition.
