I've driven past it and it's not really near the centre so I can't think there would be a lot to do apart from find a burker king or something The station is right in the centre so you'd probably be better of hanging about there then going to the ground a bit later ToonSi or a Leeds fan might know better though
Best idea probably, doubt I'll try for any pubs this time, will settle for a Maccy D's or BK Are you going?
Sit outside a pub with your tongue hanging out and some older Toon supporter might take pity on you and bring you a drink out.
Could the OP or one of the mods include this thread in the Leeds forum too? Might be nice to have our first cross-forum match thread on here.
I'm not going to aid and abet a juvenile and be responible for sending him down the rocky road to hell.
Too late haha, I can only view the forum on my phone though... perhaps AB or someone could make this thread appear on the Leeds board?
Why are people so into this cutting in crap? Jonas has proven that his crossing on his right foot is much better than his left, but he doesn't get to do it often enough being on the left hand side, and also that he'll only score 2/3 goals as a result of cutting in per season. His ability to shoot isn't that great. Once in a while he'll score a screamer, but not often enough to justify keeping him on the left so he can cut in on his right. I think he could get more assists being on the right, as we could see more quality deliveries. I'd much rather we tried to be creative and get more crosses in, with a pacey winger on each side with a decent crossing ability, rather than trying to dribble our way into the box and shoot. It's a very frustrating way to try and get goals and it's time we could use passing and crossing.
Fixed it. Hoorah. How many posts before this ends up in a slanging match about who's a bigger club then?
you get more creativity with a short passing game, getting to the byline and whipping in a cross doesnt take a creative genius. inverted wingers lend themselves to a short passing game, which is especially useful when we're playing a 'trequarista' in the hole behind a lone striker because they cut in and exchange some intricate passing with him. Also when you've got a lone striker with a no.10 just behind (not generally prolific headers of the ball) you can whip in loads of crosses, and generally you're not going to pick up your man. Granted Jonas isnt going to get the goals as he's ****e at shooting (which is preferable with inverted wingers), but i hear Marveaux has got a sweet left foot on him.
Ooooo AB! You've merged it and given the Leeds MODs the power! Luckily we'll be at the match so they can deal with it
