Yeah I get that. Which I am letting slide. I think they must have lost a hell of a lot of backroom staff as well. It seems like is done on the cheap. This guest segment is bad as well.
Just watched the 100th running of the Indy 500 which has just been won by a rookie, Alexander Rossi. Amazing.
Didn't really watch the old series but they seemed to have completely dummed it down. Beyond parody - especially the bit over cheering over the cars. But, like I said, it's unfair for me to judge as I'm not the target audience.
I think it actually makes some of the subtle comments he makes funnier. Sabine was good, as expected. Chris is too forced and his voice fluctuates so much it irks me. Too much shouting and screeching.
I didn't like Evans before this, I don't like him any more now. His voice is just so grating. Think what you like about Clarkson, but at least you could close your eyes and his voice wouldn't cause you to want to cut your ears off. Matt's good though.
Well, I think it has potential and quite liked parts of it. Evans is just being Evans but I wish he'd wind it in a bit. I think they'd do well to ride on the back of Matt Le Blanc because I actually found him engaging and amusing in the films, albeit a bit wooden in the studio. Evans and Le Blanc is just not a natural combination and that comes across in the studio. They need time to develop a rapport, and we'd do well to remember that Top Gear as everyone knows it didn't really take off at the start with Clarkson, Hammond and May. Time needed. Things to tweak and things to stick with, but I thought it was a decent effort.
But the Top Gear before Clarkson, Hammond and May was awful. Complete borefest. They turned somethins **** into something brilliant. Evans and co are not going to match what they did.
The production seems to be cheaper but I don't mind that. Get rid of Evans and they would have a decent car show. Currently watching the BBC3 thing and it is better then the actual show.
