I guess it's because its the slower tyre really. Less sticky etc. Tyre wear was non-existent because of the low track temps so Ham and Dan could just go to the end on the US and SS.
Any thoughts on Kimi after today? He puts himself in these situations and has been doing it more often the last few seasons. Extremely running hot and cold, Ferrari need consistency. On that note Perez and Hulk shone today. And Sainz for that matter. Forgot to mention Alonso's wonder drive.
Raikkonen just needs binning full stop, well past his sell by date, taking money under false pretenses
Oh come on EMSC, he defended is position as he's allowed. He didn't put Ricciardo in the wall, Ricciardo was forced on to the wet where he struggled to get the power down. Nothing dirty about that at all. That's just racing. People complain when there's no wheel to wheel action, and then moan when there is some. You being a Schumacher fan should know what hard racing is all about.
Not to mention even RBR have said they are letting it go. If you watch the replay there was still just about a cars width. It's not Lewis' fault if that part of the track is wet and Ricciardo can't find grip.
Yet Schumacher was publicly torn to pieces for "hard racing" in Hungary 2010 and Monza 2011. Sick of the double standards recently to be honest Bhaji. As a Schumacher fan I still feel hard done by since then. You could call it as me being sour, fair enough... But now the same driving over the last few seasons is applauded by the same fans that felt victim to it years ago, which I find so hypocritical. Depends on the driver and the fanbase I suppose. And how the Fia want to influence the race. Still no clarity on why he was penalised for his last corner overtake on Alonso in 2010. When it was perfectly legal. Sick of the sport.
Schumacher's hard racing was what made him so bloody entertaining to watch. The sport needs racers like that.
Schumacher's 'hard' racing was to try and smack Villeneuve off the track but broke his own car and put Barichello into the concrete wall.
Now doubt he had some massive idiot moments. But I have to say that I loved his squeezing. Nothing like putting the absolute poop up your opponent.
Sorry Daniel, I knew I should have voted for Lewis rather than you in the predictions. Merc team orders have got them a win today, but at significant cost to Rosberg's championship lead. If in the end he loses the championship by less than 20 points, it's not going to sit well. Having said that Rosberg was back to his decidedly average worst today, with a poor performance on the track and more importantly he should have channelled his inner Webber and reminded the team about Hungary 2014 rather than rolling over for their favoured driver once again. At least, his ****ness today closes the championship up and will make things more interesting for the fans. Going to wait to see the chop again before offering opinion, gut said penalty, but I think it merits a few run throughs to be definitive or at least to understand whether it's a decision "in the interests of the championship". Stupid low tech, thermally degrading tyres an embarrassment to F1 again. Drivers need to get together and start a negative campaign to get them out of F1, no-one with any official power is going to do anything about it.
Hamilton's racing was fine... if anyone wants something to have a go at him for this week, do it for the stupid Justin Beiber moment. That was bloody cringe worthy. Why? Just why?
Very poor race by Rosberg? Why would he drop off of Alonso's tail so much that he would make himself a sitting target for the Hulk?
I echo your sentiments. What was wrong with grooved Bridgestones? Now we have ****ing rainbow tyres made out of ****, that degrade when and where they feel like it. Ultra softs seem more stable than super softs ffs. Hamilton was right that the tyres are the same barring the colour. If 2017 is anything like this or worse i'd say it's time to put it out of its misery. Not sure about Rosberg and his 'brake problem'. Don't believe anything Mercedes say to be honest.
They fell out of the same tree thats why. Or birds of the same feather take your pick. International fraudsters, both odd, both going through a mental crisis, both captivate millions that then blindly follow them, both rich beyond belief, both have their followers wrapped around their fingers. Both believe they are something thy aren't. Both are "blessed".
