The problem isn't immigration. It's the usual destination for immigrants that causes issues. Very rarely are they sent to well-to-do areas; they are normally allocated to places that are already deprived.
I got trapped in a lift in Seoul. It took 20 minutes for the engineer to fix the issue. Great story, eh?
The problem is the amount of immigrants allowed into the country. The current levels are unsustainable for a country that is cutting funding for most of its frontline services. This country was able to deal with the influx during the 50s and 60s, and it was able to deal with the Balkan people coming in during the 90s, but the flow we are facing now is going to bring nothing but civil discontent, and it will be the immigrants who face the backlash. Our spineless government has to curb the flow, but they won't because they are fearful of the accusations of racism from the left and because the EU rules mean it is impossible to deport undesirables. Of course immigrants bring benefits to the country, but the benefits are being buried by the issues brought about by the strain on housing, the NHS, the social security system and social cohesion. I don't blame people for coming here, but the warm welcome will turn decidedly cold if the current numbers continue to arrive. As for pickpockets, pimps, drug dealers, people traffickers and sex pests, they can all **** off and die. And that includes our own.
