The reason genuine investors have not shown an interest in buying Leeds can only be the ownership of GFH,ER,andTA.
With regard to GFH stating that they thought the fee for Mcormack was to be used to re-purchase ER. This is reminiscent of the charade by Bates to buy back Thorp Arch in 2009. The deal as I remember it was to borrow six million pounds from the Council to buy back TA which would save a yearly rental of £500000. It was called off at the last minute because Bates said conditions had been raised which could not be answered before the deadline.Andrew Carter for the council said that the conditions had existed all along. This meant that the owner of Thorp Arch WHO EVER IT WAS would continue to receive the rent of half a million quid every year.
Unfortunately IMO Bates was trying to destroy our club, he nearly did. I doubt he had any intention of buying TA back. GFH are the cancer at the club and really need to be got rid of. How that's possible to do I don't know.
I remember that Duke, Wouldn't surprise me if Bates is involved in the ownership of TA and ER somewhere. Bates knew exactly what he was doing when he selected GFH to be the new owners.
Cellino has to take a step back and stop trying to run every aspect of the club. He also needs to stop sacking managers just for the sake of it. Evans should be given at least another year.
The one thing that winds me up regarding Bates is how he hasn't been caught out, he's as bent as a 6 pound note.
Exactly why I say he was good at doing what he set out to do, make as much money from us as possible, he is a far better businessman than Cellino. If Bates had not set out to line his own pockets we might have been in a very good position today. We should have all screamed blue murder being sold to an investment bank, seriously what does anyone expect, their job is to make investors money, they were absolutely clueless hence why Bates managed to exploit them for a ludicrous price. Cellino is equally as dangerous for us, I don't doubt for a single second he means well but to satisfy his own ego. He is nearly as clueless as GFH, you can't run a club the way he is running us, it just doesn't work and it drags your name down further and further, first division managers/coaches refusing to consider a job with us shows the damage that is currently taking place. Each of our last three owners have been bad for us for different reasons, Bates knew what he was doing but he was bleeding us dry. GFH didn't have a clue, didn't care and were in it for what they believed was a quick buck, Cellino means well, probably does care but his ego gets in the way and always will.
Very good post Ristac but makes you wonder what number four could be like whenever he sells given our luck
I agree in part Shaks, when Cellino bought Leeds he had to take a stand cos most, if not all departments were in a mess, he had to stabilize the club which he did, however, I think he's got into the habit and, probably doesn't fully understand the meaning of manager in Britain. I also think he's the type of person who likes to be involved in his projects rather than being a sleeping owner so to speak. I'm beginning to believe maybe Cellino wants a coach that makes an impact from beginning but, he needs to allow his patience to last longer however, most have said the likes of Redders, Darko, Rosler and Evans weren't the ones to take us forward, they did enough to keep us in Championship and that was their level, but not good enough to get us promoted. The type of coach we need is one who can see the problems we have now on pitch, and change them: imo Evans was doing the same as Redders, playing his favourites and picking a single striker formation, it didn't work for the coaches prior, and it didn't change anything under Evans, I think if he stayed it'd be the same old same old, without a different midfield and different tactics, we ain't going to be moving backwards or forwards. Cellino is well aware of the riches to be gained from promotion to the prem, all he needs to do is get the chemistry right.....
Regardless of whether you are right or not, the responsibility for current state with the management and structure of the club that I mentioned in a previous post, the constant swapping of coaches that you agree have not been of the right quality, lies solely with Cellino.
That my friend is pure opinion and unsubstantiated. We won't know till he leaves or does as he promises.
I have to disagree with this otherwise I have to accept that Leeds should be in it's current state. It means that I have to accept that we are starting a season being 3rd favourites to drop down to the 3rd Division (again), it means I have to accept that managers from 2 divisions below us will turn us down, it means I have to accept that we will hire and then of course fire someone like Hockaday, it means I have to accept that 6 players can decide not to play for Leeds and still stay at the club without punishment, it means I have to accept that Massivego will appoint his burger king crown wearing son as a director, it means I have to accept that a large amount of season ticket money merchandise revenue etc will be used each year to pay off of ridiculous court battles that are lost or settled and to pay off sacked employees whilst also having to accept that our academy will be allowed to be neglected further until it becomes worthless. It means I have to accept that our best players will be sold to help balance the books as fans save their money and stay away and It means I have to accept another season over by Christmas with just a relegation battle to look forward to with crap football by crap footballers. Well bollocks to that I'm not supporting him, I want him gone sooner rather than later as he said yesterday it's easy to sell a club in England so it's time he did it. Just looking at the many lets be honest smaller clubs (in terms of both history and potential) above us, what separates them for us? It has to be the owner. So more than happy to hound this one out and try the next one - and hope that this time the fans will do their due diligence before they arrive so if it turns out to be another twat it's made clear they won't be allowed to get away with it before they even get here.
Matters not if his ineptitude leads to it anyway. Btw I am not convinced that he is not here just to milk the club.
Yes, I agree, but what owners are good at getting great coaches, it's always potluck when you hire a coach.
Well, he's only owned Leeds for 2 years, I think we would've noticed it by know, as we did with Bates.............wouldn't we?
