So i presume upper west will be open next season, those who have aĺready moved will be be offered their old seats?
The rules of the premier league insist on consessions, i think.

I hope there's a sale quickly, and the concessions are binned sharpish (not sure how practically though apart from a refund to those who should get concessions)

Sadly I'm expecting an Allam to be in charge at the start of next season, in which case I assume they'll be arguing that the scheme is fine and carrying on

West Uppers should be able to move back, shouldn't they?

Restoring concessions is a piece of cake - simply invoke the clause about varying monthly payments and issue an email confirmation of the change. No money has yet changed hands for next season.

The difficulty for the club will be paying for the reintroduction of concessions - because one assumes that adult members in some, if not all, zones will need to see their monthly payments go up. Or their deep discount in the cheap zones partly reversed, to be accurate.

You would hope that after promotion the pass sales are such a small percentage of overall income that you could reduce concession prices without needing to put other ones up
You're right about how easily that could be done too
    Easy then...that's sorted

£100m could pay for that. Then finally bring in £10/£5 that was mentioned.

He'll perhaps use the Wembley attendance as justification for keeping upper west closed for most games, opening it for bigger games.

The club will certainly sell more memberships now. But how many? So far it is reckoned we have sold 6,000? The seat shuffle time period is now ongoing, and we've not exactly heard about the rush have we? Sure the play off ticket debacle has dominated, but that itself gives us clues. If we can only shift 22,000 Wembley tickets, how much latent demand for the premier league is there truly out there? We might scrape up to 12,000 memberships by August.

The remaining 9,000 tickets then get sold on to the secondary market.

And don't forget the membership scheme is easy-out, not just easy-in. Play Liverpool and Manchester United at home before Christmas and the 12,000 might drop to 9 or 10 thousand after cancellations.

Whichever way you look at it, the end game is likely to be a massive clusterfuck. And only abandoning west Upper closure in full and restoring concessions can start to reverse that. The new fans won't be the sole answer.

Put it this way, the screens at Wemberlee yesterday said the new season starts 6th August, 2016.

By my reckoning that's 67 days including Bank Holidays and weekends.

I wouldn't bank on anything happening for the first 64 days, and then Ticketmaster will announce : '10% reduction in all season ticket prices for those in the Leppings Lane End. 5% reduction in all season ticket prices for all those in the Massive Spion Kop. 15% increase in season ticket prices for any male or female that sits in the Lifeskills South Stand. 20% reduction in season ticket prices for anyone who sits in the My Sheffield North Stand, but only if you still have an inflated Blue and White balloon from Wembley.'

That will all be hastily changed, when Ehab Allam rings Ticketmaster to ask 'how things are going?' on the Wednesday before the opening day of the season. To spare everyones blushes, Ehab in conjunction with Ticketmaster will then hastily announce, that 'Hull City Tigers Ltd' announce FREE (yes FREE - not £10 like we originally promised) Season Tickets to all Hull Tigers City Plc supporters that are able to demonstrate that they flicked the laggy band (that had been holding the clacking card things on to the seats at Wembley) into the back of someones head before the game yesterday. Production of the laggy band + an untorn clacker, must also be accompanied by a utility bill with a Derby or Brighton post code. Season Tickets will then be available for personal collection at either Burnley or Middlesbrough, unless we are playing them, in which case we'll have to think of a plan B, or C. Or D.

As a marketing strategy you have to agree it's ****ing dope.

Wasn't the clusterfuck plan to keep open half of WSU for home fans and the remainder for away supporters?

I stopped at the Maccy D's just passes St Neots yesterday. Ehab and all his family pulled up in an Acklams bus. He started walking over to the McD's then thought better of it and swerved to Subway. Wish I'd gone and had a word with him. Just to say to him face to face he's wrong about the concessions.

By the way I've renewed. Me and the lad have had to move seats to renew though.
