There are positives to Cellino. Not as many as we would like. At least the bills all get paid now and the specter of club going under isn't a reality any more. By the way at 42 you've time on your side and every chance of seeing success again. Not so good for Shaks and me. My old age and his aging liver don't give us an eternity to wair
Nope, might have been bought by people who know how to run a business. Just because some half wit bought over the odds without DD doesn't make him the saviour of the club. If GFH still hold so much influence then that is still bad business by Cellino when he bought. Regardless, look how he's running the club now, the rest is history.
Again no, no one was stupid enough to step in without DD. luckily for GFH they found a mug. We just have to live with it.
Maybe because they don't have the amount of money to do it and are honest enough to admit it. Better than the bluffers we've had of late.
and there is the important word and the difference in doers like Cellino and the other bullshitters that have never put a penny in
Okay might, but you would hope that other people looking at the club would act like proper businessmen, something clearly lacking in Cellino, which is why we're in this state of limbo,
My battery is about to die but of course we all hope for the best for the club. Where we all differ is the belief we have that something better is around the corner than Cellino. I don't, do you
Where we differ is the belief that there is something better around the corner with Cellino, I did but I don't any longer. Do you despite the current situation?
I believe the best we have for years to come is likely Cellino so we'd better support him rather than living in a fantasy world of rich Arabs or others arriving
GFH's shares skyrocketing to the point where they\ll sit back and reap the rewards means they'll be around a long time. I think GFH are a big stumbling block for Cellino, the club and the fans. When Cellino wants to buy something, such as ER, he has to go too GFH for their share, then their share values increase, even more so if we're in prem. When Cellino sells a player, GFH get their share. Most talk about the McContract money, but Leeds ended up with about 2.5 to 3 mill from memory. If Cellino bought or sold anything without GFH getting their share, then he'd be up to his eyeballs with legal cases. I don't think it's a case of liking or loathing Cellino, but more about understanding his situation.....
Lol, respectfully, Listen to Haighs interview, it reveals quite a few details some of us didn't know. While most claim Haigh is as corrupt as GFH, including me, right now he's still angry and wants revenge/justice, and that makes him an asset to us in regards to GFH.
This is all 100% theory/opinion none of it is fact, like your opening line suggests, you used the word "think" and I think you are wrong ... 1) I read somewhere that we actually received an upfront payment of £6.5m for Ross and we got £1m extra for goal bonus this was after fees 2) I also read Cellino restructured the GFH deal, he didn't pay the full asking price for us, instead they put the loan repayments on hold for a set amount of time because promotion would mean more, Cellino restructured it. 3) Cellino could buy ER and rent it to the club, he could have a clause excluding it from future valuation, IF GFH did put their share in so what if it increased club value or share price, fair is fair.
Agreed about the con artist statement, and while that may be the case, the word aggrieved is the key word you used. He was found not guilty by the Arabs, but he's still angry, even angry and conned crims spill the beans when the time arises. What we'll have to do is wait for the full story to be put on net, as he claims he's going to do; any lies or fabricated statements may well be met with legal action against him, as he already pointed out. Whatever peoples views on Haigh and his interview are, it still comes down to "the enemy of my enemy is my friend" let's not forget that 2 of the GFH members have warrants waiting for them the day they set foot back on British soil......
Respectfully Ristac, I think you may be missing the point. 1) While the price for McContract was around 10.75 mill, there was a promotion clause meaning some of the price is payable only if Fulham got promoted in their first season back in Championship. I'm not sure what that amount was and you could be right in the amount we received, but after deductions to GFH etc I read the amount received by Leeds was around 2.5 to 3 million quid. 2) From memory, the restructuring deal was for the loan GFH gave Leeds only, and you're right, part of the deal was if and when we gain promotion. Cellino also went over too Dubai to try and get GFH to pay their share of a 20 million quid loan, which never happened. 3) If Cellino bought the ground for himself, and then rented it too Leeds, GFH would begin legal proceedings against him as the ground is a big asset to Leeds; also, if Cellino did buy the ground for himself, he would need permission and a deal done with GFH, GFH could easily claim they're being cheated/swindled out of their share of the asset, which everyone knows was, and will be part of Leeds again. Once GFH's shares skyrocket, they'll be making a mint and harder to get rid of, Haigh also mentioned this in his interview. GFH don't give a monkeys about Leeds United, they only care about the money they make, ie, bleeding the club......
The problem is you could have started that the last sentence with The cellinos instead of GFH and it would still be as valid. One difference GFH at least realised they know **** all about how to run a football club Cellino still thinks he can.
Agreed, GFH want the money. On day one when they took over I made a post pointing out that they are an investment bank, their job is to make customers money. I am one of the very few who hated them from near to the start, I still do. I was on the Cellino in bandwagon for the start and first half of his first season, I was on the in camp at the start of this one when he made some good appointments but I was also wondering how long would they all last. My opinion is based solely on what is happening, what facts are presented and I can honestly say Cellino is every bit as bad as Bates. Bates was actually better at doing what he did. We made money under Bates but he had a plan, that plan was to steal the money, syphon it away into his interests and offshore accounts before selling us for an inflated price. Take your love of Leeds United away, put your bank account and interests first and Bates screwed us over for his own cause. No doubt Cellino means well, he just isn't good at what he does as Chippy rightly pointed out. Bates appointed proper managers, he gave them a budget (which was poor) but he didn't dabble, we had structure, we had key personnel in place. NO I wouldn't want Bates back, yes I want GFH out and have done way before our true troubles were exposed under them, equally I accept Cellino is bad for our club, we won't progress under him, take the hit now and I want him out at almost any cost. As for player fees and signings, GFH don't get a share, they would get an end of year share of profits/loss as does Cellino in appropriate proportion. They openly stated they were under the assumption that the entire Ross fee was going to be used to purchase the ground. Again I read we received at least 7.5m for Ross and the missing 3.5 million is non trigured clauses, agent fee and costs. Even then Cellino is being investigated over the dodgy use of an agent
