There were more than 21,000 at Wembley. Why weren't you there? Wednesday had a league average of 22k this season. A lot of their plastics had an opportunity to go to Wembley. This was our 4th in recent times and I think we've simply lost our plastic day tripper supporters.
It's not just the day trippers we've lost Lots not there today have travelled all over in lower leagues, so hardly plastic
I had a very good reason for not being there. Though to be honest I wasn't intending to be due to something happening I couldn't have gone even if I had wanted.
Happy has a point Castro, regardless of noise they made, you'd have had had a fit at the plastic content they showed. Everything you hate, including a drum. Thank god that ****ing band didn't turn up though.
Not to put a dampener on things but what the **** were some supposed supporters doing coming back in at 53 minutes from a half-time piss up it seems that a box of pizza was much more important to some people .
I loved the day and the atmosphere. I could not give a flying **** how many we had in the stands, **** the balloons and inflatables, **** the painted faces. ONE NIL TO THE EMPTY SEATS
Actually, those balloons and inflatables were ****ing annoying, even watching it on the tele. I was expecting Foresteiri to stand on one and twist his ankle, winning a foul or penalty for the ****er.
I'll take a reality check, you miserable git - we're back in the Premier League. The only owner in our history to have achieved this twice. For that I thank you Mr Allam & I hope your health improves.
Strange how yet again, those who won't attend, still find time to lambast those who do. Must be an East Riding thing. >>>> WERE HULL CITY,WERE PREMIER LEAGUE<<<<< Bruce IN
To be fair I joined the queue for the toilets as soon as the whistle blew for half time, and by the time I'd had a piss they were kicking off again.
Great article. We should remember the scramble for tickets in 2008. I remember being concerned at the possibility of not getting any. And that was record attendance for the playoffs at that time. Any SW fans believing the are on their way back should remember what happened to Bristol City after 2008
aye bristol city had an insane demand for tickets.. and they haven't got anywhere near close to playoffs
The majority of the missing fans must be plastics. We've never had attendance records to support half filling Wembley could be achieved by our regular attendance figures.
atleast we don't have fans like this http://www.owlstalk.co.uk/forums/index.php/topic/241687-racism-rears-its-ugly-head/
A question for all. If some day we manage to become a permanent fixture in the top league, and a new owner +/- the Council engineer building a stadium close to the capacity of Old Trafford, how would you classifysay 5-6 years later the extra (say) 35-40,000 (over our current average) people attending City's home games ? Supporters ? Plastics ? Day trippers ?
