I've checked out the trip to the PSV game. 348 miles. Eurotunnel is about £70 for an overnight and a hotel is £57. Trouble is, the return train is far too early as I will have a massive hangover! Still might do it though!
OK Flanman, I have my flights and hotel booked. There might be one or two coming along with me. Just waiting for them to confirm. I'll get match tickets direct from QPR as soon as we know how many are going.
Hi Eamon I may have a mate coming but will confirm it over the next few days could you also get a ticket for him if he confirms?
ok Flanman. I will try to finalise numbers this end and book the tickets in the next few days. I'll get back to you.
Update to supporters regarding pre-season friendly with PSV ... QPR can confirm that our friendly fixture against PSV Eindhoven on Friday 8th July - initially scheduled to take place at RKSV Driel - is subject to a change in venue. Owing to security concerns around the venue, the match will no longer take place at RKSV Driel, and our hosts PSV are now seeking an alternative venue to play the fixture. QPR’s Director of Football, Les Ferdinand, told www.qpr.co.uk: “We are in hourly dialogue with PSV regarding the situation. “Both clubs are keen for the fixture to go ahead as planned, and we are currently seeking a resolution. “We are aware that QPR supporters have purchased tickets for this fixture, and are confident we can confirm a new venue in the coming days, but this is ultimately in the hands of our hosts PSV.” Supporters should note, until a new venue is finalised for this fixture, tickets have been taken off sale. A further announcement will be made in due course on www.qpr.co.uk. Read more at http://www.qpr.co.uk/news/article/2...n-supporters-3162915.aspx#LUCYqyQvAf0qJ755.99
That is bad news for Fingy and Flan man...hope it sorts out I saw this ...any ideas what the security concerns are?
I sent the box office an email 2 days ago asking for tickets and they never answered. I was wondering why, now I know. I have a hotel booked and paid for in Arnhem so I hope it is not moved too far away. Do we ever get these pre-season fixtures right? Nearly every year there is a problem with them.
I read on LFW that the local mayor has concerns over safety. I think he is expecting crowd trouble! For a change, I don't think any criticism can be aimed at Queens Park Rangers over this!
I would imagine that he is a sadly deluded individual! The chances of any trouble would surely rate as less than 0.1 percent. I hope it all works out OK for you finglas & you enjoy the trip.
