Whoever ends up with Hazard is going to be a very , very lucky team ... One of the best players in the Premier IMO who had a one off sh:t season .

He'd cost a lot of money and will demand high wages. That will get you snarling!

Anyone else think Drinkwater looked out his depth last night against the socceroos?

Not as out of his depth as Dier. He was playing against Australia and was all over the place!

That was the most embarrassing performance by a mile (even without the hilarious own goal). Imagine if that was Spain or Germany FFS. Roy's messed up big time if he doesn't take an extra CB.

England seriously lack in that area. I hope the kids are watching thinking we need to step up here and become CB's. Other than Smalling and Cahill (arguably Stones) we have nothing. Jageilka is our 4th best ffs <steam>

  12. Roy must never use Dier as a CB. Poch has taken that role out of him, and turned him into a consumate DM.

For Dier's sake, I hope that Roy doesn't try to shoehorn him into an out-and-out defensive role.

Not just for Dier's sake, the whole team. He's a liability as last night proved.

I blame Roy though, everyone should always blame Roy.

Smalling's been poor in the past few weeks as well. He's probably still England's best CB but it is going to be a massive weak spot for England.

It's worrying to be honest (for those that get the England hype). We're probably one of the poorest defences in Europe, yet we're one of the best offensive teams.

We're literally going to have to score 3 goals a game to get anywhere. All the other mangers will be creaming about knocking long balls into our box. I can see tears from the England die hards!!

Centre back is a massive problem for England. Stones, I think will come good, but the rest I have very little confidence in.

Smalling is brainless. Cahill, erratic. And as for Jagielka, I still remember what happened to him at WC 2014! And no way are European refs going to tolerate Shawcross's shenanigans...

Really? He was good for Leicester, granted.

I really don't see what role he has for England though, I can't see where he'd fit. I'd leave Barkley and Drinkwater behind definitely. He won't start and he's hardly an impact sub, so he's basically useless to England.

You might not like Henderson, but Roy plays him when fit. Even last night in the tunnel you could see Henderson helping Rashford out, it's not all about what happens on the pitch.

Drinkwater just looks lost. Clearly had a good season, but International football is taking it too far for him.

If England have any sense they will look to the World Cup and play the younger lads now so that they get experience. Dier, Barkley, Alli and Stones need games now. I imagine though that England will go into it looking to win it and end up failing, blaming certain players and changing the squad completely and then repeating the same mistake over and over again.
