For a team who finished 18th in the PL their supporters deserve praise. It has been shown that Newcastle are the 12th BEST team supported in Europe. Eat your heart out Mackems.

Newcastle fans have been **** this season which probably contributed to your relegation. Sunderland fans were pretty poor in the first half of the season, but got behind the cause brilliantly in the second half of the season..

 

Sorry but Sunderland hold the record over 75,000 for a one day attendance which I am reliably informed is a measure of support

I noticed last night some 'local fans' booing Townsend and Henderson non stop whilst they represented their country. I guess the memo about it being an England game dodn't quite make it to the Mackems eh Whitey?
I think a few media outlets have picked up on that this morning too..........

Townsend was booed when he came on, every time he got the ball and got a cheer when he got fouled. Very classy from the mackems.

 

I don't recall Gerard being booed in an England shirt... Or Lampard etc....

 

There were lots of pink seats on show once again too last night......

Now the truth, Henderson was given a big rousing cheer when he came out, Townsend was given the exact same reception that Cattermole would have received in his position at St James, at least try to make some attempt at seeing things as they are
