The Ospreys can't be shifted - they, like the Swans, have a cast iron legally binding lease that gives them the right to play at The Liberty for another 39 years.

The Ospreys also own one third of Swansea Stadium Management Company (SSMC) as do the Swans and the Council.

Sky reporting final paperwork to be signed this afternoon and then has to go to PL for ownership ratification which takes about ten days.

Change seems to be harder to accept as I grow older .
I hope this works out for us but I can't help feeling that we've lost our uniqueness we were reknown for and don't control our own destiny anymore . Sorry , just can't help it . I believe this is more about previous owners wanting to bail instead of about the club .

Agreed mate, cant help but feel none of this is for the betterment of the club, Just got a horrible feeling that they will rape the club and walk away when they have what they want. Funny how the announcement came when we reached 40 points and virtually safe and the guarantee of over 100m in TV money. Wish they would just **** off back to the USA as I can see no good coming from this, well for the club anyway.

Come on trunds its called needed progress. We would never survive without investment and by the clubs own admission and scouring the world shows we need it. All successful clubs need good investment and we have gone as far as we can, In fact we have gone further than what was expected Hopefully now we can get our extension built and if we cant then we have no option but to move and build our own. The ospreys which i also support are safe but even they are thinking of playing their games around the area at different grounds...Im excited by finally getting a group of very rich men on board and the start of a new era.....

Unneeded regression to enhance wallets of people who use to care about the club , like lefty says.... Not seeing anything resembling investment .

Dai - I think the Board was spooked by the "dalliance" with relegation and the hugely adverse impact that would have on both the Club's finances and the wealth of the existing shareholders.

As for the Ospreys, your information is incorrect - apart from the possibility of playing/hosting one of the Irish teams at a football ground in London.

All I see is people buying up shares. No mention of how much money that will be put into the club, out of their own pockets.

I am right about the ospreys taff they are considering playing some games away from the liberty to grounds like the gnoll and Bridgend.....The scarlet's did it a couple of seasons ago and played as far away as Wrexham....

Sorry Dai - whoever told you is mistaken. The Ospreys may play one home match at (possibly) Craven Cottage - but there are no plans to play at the Gnoll or the Brewery Field.

Thats all that the discussions are about at the moment , how much money is left after paying off those that want out will determine how much is spent on the players / infrastructure .No statement yet from the Trust which is disconcerting either because the yanks don't feel they have to answer to it or equally as bad being treated as an after thought .Another worrying aspect is these talks have allegedly been ongoing for over the past year .
