I would genuinely rather have Klopp if it were up to me to decide.
Mourinho is a top manager, but I just don't like him or his methods. I'd find it really difficult to come to terms with him at my club.

There's far too much history between him and Liverpool. Ofcourse you're going to hate him. After Arsenal, he's wummed your club more than any other. If there was no history there and he was the same person you'd happily have him. Just like Suarez as a player.

 

Nah, he got knocked out in the semi finals of various cup competitions 3 years on the trot by us under Benitez with a side that cost over double what ours did. Can't say he was really mugging us off, we stood up much better to Mourinho's Chelsea than Man Utd or Arsenal ever did.

 

Even Bobby Charlton has said in the said past that "A United manager wouldn’t do that. Mourinho is a really good coach but that’s as far as I would go really. He pontificates too much for my liking. He’s a good manager, though." which is him basically saying he doesn't think much of him as a person. Obviously Charlton was just bitter and afraid of him. Lol.

 

Err, you never directly said it but just as your allegation of "fear"' from us has no concrete evidence we can all make **** up when it suits.

I never feared mourinho when he was at Chelsea or Madrid or anywhere else trebs, you could have made the same accusation about any of your managers since fergie and you'd have got the same reaction.

What a manager does at a club other than your own means jack, of course if he is the dogs bollocks at utd fair enough.

Tobes has often said in the last few weeks the guarantee of the "top 4" dominance has vanished as shown by Leicester last season and the mega money now available to all prem clubs.

Only time will tell if your optimism is justified trebs, but there will be much egg and custard pies flying your way if it goes tits up.

 

I'm not talking about his credentials as a coach, but the man himself. All his clubs are simply the means for him to enhance his own CV.
If it comforts you to dismiss any criticism of him as blind prejudice then go ahead.

This whole scenario is so cringe worthy to be honest. All it proves is how fickle football fans are.

Whilst Jose was at Chelsea EVERYBODY couldn't stand the guy, literally everybody. Now the Utd fans are 'buzzing' he's their manager. Seriously?

 

Thing is nobody has really said he is a terrible manager who is doomed to fail, most of us have acknowledged he is a very good manager with a track record of winning trophies. The only point we've made is that he's a huge ****, the Mancs know this but choose to talk about this "fear" business because they know there is no way of justifying some of Mourinho's previous actions and comments so they have to divert the discussion away from that.

They just want a fast track back to the top, and if it takes a Faustian pact to get it, then they're ok with that.
It would be interesting to go back and see some of the comments about him when he was the Chavs' manager though.
