We're kinda getting good at reviews. Time for the industry to wake up! http://artnoiseevents.com/2538/noise/review-escape-pelirocco-210516/
The series was fine - I actually enjoyed it, but, then, I had read the book some time before and decided to ignore the temptation to compare the two. The book was amazing (King is back to his best - in my opinion) and the series holds up fine on it's own. I agree with TSS' suggestion - leave it a while and then watch the series. I think you'll enjoy it. Must go back and watch "Jonathan Strange ...." - struggled to understand it, but then I came in on about the 3rd episode.
Oh happy day Techy man fixed pooter in 5 mins and that included a chat. Going to put his number on speed dial.
Guess that is where I fail...I have questioned my pooter's parentage on many an occasion. Having a Mr Fix-It could save me money....I usually just buy a new computer (then store the old ones in the guest room in case anyone gets hold of the hard-drive)....my son can ditch them when I've gone.
I was hoping for a quick press this, press that, nope it doesn't work we'll send you a replacement. No such luck.
Yeah, but books are invariably better. You're almost always going to be disappointed with the Film/TV.
Crikey, now there is a series that absolutely must be watched from the first second of the first episode, and no buggering off to make tea or going to the loo without pausing the action.
I read both last year so will wait a few months before watching the TV shows. I thoroughly enjoyed both books and don't want their memories tarnished if I'm not happy with the serialisations.
During my many walks around the common, of late, I have been left wondering about the collective nouns for the birds I have seen. So, on recent walks I have seen a kit of pigeons, a raft of ducks, and a murder of crows. Not sure if the following counts as a collective noun, but walking past the area where the festival will be, I saw a sh1tload of portaloos. I think this weekend's walks will be elsewhere.
Should join the Ramblers mate. Walks everywhere. Beer at the end, or not if you're inclined to tea/coffee.
