I have been catching with everyones posts.

Thak you for voting for my picture.

Today I saw a tshirt with "Dip me in chocolate and throw me to the lesbians" printed on it. Not a good idea if you were a man as they would take the chocolate and leave you alone. I think is better if the print was "Dip me in chocolate and throw me to the girlies".
Hon please do not be upset.

Evening all. Its been a hot and busy day today. I finally got my Uni timetable but am not impressed! I am in Monday for an hour, Tuesday for 3 hours spread out, off Wednesday, in Thursday for an hour and in Friday for 3 hours from 9:00. Why cant they bunch the days together so instead of having 4 one or two hours days i have 2 four hour days.

Actually the lecturers i have had have all been good and all been prompt. They are happy to help and always reply to emails with in 24 hours. Even when they are off campus.

I guess it depends what you study. I am doing a joint honors degree so have to do 6 modules per semester rather than the usual 3.

I will be doing that part-time too Al. If i can get a job that is. I would love to be able to work, but i did a stupid thing and had to leave my old job. So now i am getting my life back and sorting things out.

Exactly. We are the only ones holding ourselves back. If we want something we have to work at getting it, and when we do we must be gratefull for it.

Too true. As I understand the English university system, any lecturer who is concerned about teaching will not get pay rises or promotion. Universities get their income from research outputs. Teaching gets in the way of that

yep I agree with the philosophy that you have to have the bad times to fully appreciate the good!
